Metaltex USA Inc. Under Shelf Basket, White, 20-Inch

Can't believe how much more storage space I have made by adding these to shelving in the garage, the master closet shelves and even in my dining room cabinets shelves for those little things like special dessert cups, etc. One thing I did to keep them stable was use a strip of colored duck tape that would match the cabinet shelf. I cut a strip about 3 - 4 inches longer than the prongs that slide onto the shelf above and laid it the length of the prong from the shelf edge back. I carefully ran my finger along the prong to make the tape stick then flattened the rest to the shelf at the end. Then I took my thumbnail and creased the tape right next to the prong on both sides and then flattened the side lengths of the tape to the shelves. That way it is really secure and not in the way when you move things around. These baskets are terrific. Make sure you measure the width of the shelf you will attach the basket to because they are fairly wide and may not fit in most closet built in organizer shelves.

I bought this because my only other option was the Schulte 20" Under Shelf Basket that was over $20 ea. It turned out to be a great buy! The shelf is as sturdy as the Schulte and 1/3 the price. I use it to utilize the space I have now that I use a flat panel instead of a CRT monitor. My desk has a hutch over the monitor that the flat panel cannot fill. So I hung this in the space beneath the upper book shelf there and recovered the space. Now I can store the tape dispensor, stapler, and the negative convertor for my scanner. The open squares of the basket allow me to hang scissors in easy reach too. It goes a long way toward organizing the desk area. (See customer pics)I have noticed since Wire World has started selling on Amazon all the Shulte under shelf baskets are coming down in price. This size has come down nearly half the price. Competition is GOOD!

My only only real complaint is that I wish they offered a similar model which is a couple of inches longer. The dimension they refer to as length (the dimension in the direction of the shelf width) is 10.25". Seems like most of the standard size packages of foil, wraps and plastic bags are 11.5-13.0" long. Hence the packages protrude beyond the shelf it is mounted on by a couple of inches.So, I would like to see them offer a 12" long model. Otherwise, it seems sturdy enough to meet my needs and I would recommend it.

Bought this in Feb. 2015. Welds are all intact and no chips. Measurements matched the product details. Was a bit cheaper back then at $13, but given the longevity, worth it still. Felt like posting a review, since just bought some other brands with different dimensions and quality is all over the place. Happy I got this good one and now know the difference!

Perfect for my cable box. I mounted my tv on a corner shelf my dad built, but there was no place to put the box. The Dish guy told me I couldn't put anything on the box, i.e. the tv. It had to vent. So I ordered this rack. It was a bit too deep because we were trying to fit it on a corner shelf. We sawed off the back of the shelf so that it was half as deep. That worked really well and now my cable box is hanging right under the tv.

I like this under shelf basket. It is wide and very roomy to store a variety of items. I have two of them; one in the laundry room and the other one in our pantry holding breads. My main desire would be that the wire bracket that slides and holds onto the shelf was longer, maybe the length of the basket. I only say that because when I am reaching around the shelf to get to something else the basket won't hold if I bump into.

It's not an exiting product but I stuck it under my lower kitchen cabinet shelf and use it for my boxes of aluminum foil, baggies and waxed paper. It's probably the best buy I have made all year. I used to have them stuck in a baking pan. Those suckers used to fall all over the place and I couldn't see what was what. Now there all nice and neat, I can see what I need and i grab it and go (I have them pointed out not horizontal). Takes up no space hanging there also. Yay!

Sturdy, well made, but pay attention to the measurements. I went by the picture as far as the height of this item. I was looking for a basket to mount on my shelf to hold sheets. This is long enough, but definitely not the height that I needed.

I was looking for this for so long! Couldn't be happier, it is exactly what I wanted.
