Excellent Quality Nut Splitter
Great that it came with 4 sizes. I was surprised by the size I really needed. Heavy duty, sturdy tool which allowed me to get a nut taken off a tough spot on my lawn tractor.Excellent product!

Decent tools but limited
While these seem like decent tools and come in a nice case they do not hold up to hardened steel. Softer metals would probably be fine but when I tried using this on my rusted muffler nuts it broke the head of the tool while only digging about halfway through the nut.

Poor Design Gives You a Worthless Tool
The body of the tool interferes with the tool's ability to split the nut, especially with smaller metric nuts. I was trying to crack a bumper nut on my 1972 VW Type 1 and I couldn't get the wedge that was supposed to split the nut centered on one of the hex flats on the nut. The nut was a 13mm hex nut. The body that holds the screw is so much in the way that the wedge is held above more than half of the nut. When the screw is tightened the splitter wedge slips off the nut. When this was manufactured no one ever bothered to see if it would crack or split a nut. If they had they might have redesigned it. The parts that make up the tools have a sloppy fit to each other too. They copied an inferior tool. I ended up using an oscillating metal saw to cut the nut along with Forney cutting oil. The oil made a huge difference in my ability to cut the nut.

Channel pins are weak
The channel pins that keep the spike from spinning are low quality. Had several of them spinning, if the pins had kept their place and the bit had gone straight it would’ve worked great. you get what you pay for.
