rich navy blue!
So a friend of mine went dumpster diving and picked up a couple of wooden chairs so I thought that I would get some chalk paint or milk paint to give them a fresh look. I had seen country chic paints on Amazon in the past and I was interested, but had no reason to purchase them so when I got these chairs, I decided that I wanted to try a color and I am so glad that I did! I have never actually painted with chalk (country chic paints are actually a clay base) paint before, so this was a fun paint to try. when it dries, it turns into this beautiful rich navy blue. I don’t even know if the picture does it justice but it’s a gorgeous color. I need to refinish the chair seats but I wanted to post this first. If you’re thinking of purchasing this paint, I wouldn’t hesitate. I think you’ll really like it. It’s self priming, and they do recommend a product called tough coat for a finish if it’s a table top, otherwise, try a wax or a glaze for special effects.

I was skeptical, but its good!
I bought this to paint an MDF wood aquarium stand that was gray. I did sand the stand and clean it well before starting to paint it. I used one jar of off-white color, and applied 4 coats (following the directions for time between coats) because the paint isn't very thick, and some spots took multiple coats. After it was completely dried, I used Clear Coat - Eco-Friendly Clear Satin Sheen Top Coat for Chalk Style Furniture Paint, Very Durable, Non Yellowing, Waterproof Sealant for High Traffic Furniture - Indoor/Outdoor - Pint (16 oz) of the same brand. I applied 2 coats of this. It's been about 2 months, and so far the paint is holding up really well, even on the shelves, where I often slide the cubes in and out.

I’m a fan
I liked it. The color is exactly what I wanted and the coverage was perfect for my needs. I did 3 thin coats right over the blue pictured without any primer and had just a little bit of paint to spare. I would have given it 5 stars, but I think durability will come into play. This is definitely not for a high traffic item. My daughter always covers the desk before using it, so this works for our needs. This is also NOT a smooth finish. I used a brush and you can see every stroke, so if you’re looking for a smooth finish, I would skip this.

Good product
Purchased the Sage Advice color. I applied very thin coats to avoid imperfections, so it took three coats to look even and achieve full coverage. Coats dried quickly, so it didn’t take very long! Color dries significantly darker than it looks in the bottle, which is actually closer to the true “sage” color I was looking for. Very pretty matte finish. Although it was a little pricey in my opinion, overall very happy with the finished product!

Gorgeous purple
Repainted an old desk with the Opulence purple. Absolutely love it. I’ve never worked with chalk paint before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Ended up being really easy, I used a foam roller and put two coats. The coverage was very even and smooth. Warning, it does dry very quickly, so be on the lookout for drips as you work. The finish ended up being very matte, so I coated it with furniture wax after it dried for some protection. The photos show with and without wax. Neither photo really captures how beautiful the purple is, it’s so deep and rich.

Easy to use. Vibrant color.
I bought this paint to repaint an old door. I live in an old farmhouse and my bedroom door probably hasn’t been repainted in decades. The old paint was stained and chipped and the door was in desperate need of a new paint job. I wasn’t going to go through the trouble of stripping, sanding, priming, etc given that this is an old door in an old farmhouse. I needed a paint that would work well applied as is and have a nice color when dry. I was able to paint my door inside and out and some of the trim with one can of this paint. The door almost looks new now and I like the color a lot better. I would say though that if you’re painting something relatively large like this and plan on using 2-3 coats, maybe buy a larger can or multiple cans.

Mustard yellow very dark
The mustard yellow was a lot darker than in the photo so I had to buy the white one to lighten it. You can see the difference in the second photo with the white added to it. Then it was the perfect shade of mustard yellow for me. I love the door overall but I hated the process. I've never worked with chalk paint like this before. It was a very different texture, it dried too quickly and would get clumpy so there's spots I had to try and blend. You have to work quickly and do not go over a spot you just went over until it actually dries. I think if I bought the chalk brushes that is recommended with it, it wouldn't have been so bad, texture wise, and it did make it easier but you still have to work quickly. While I do wish I used a different paint to achieve this color on my door, I don't hate it enough to change. I just can't look to closely at the slight imperfections.

Looks wonderful!
The bottom is this color - absolutely love it. We determined the light blue (top cupboards) just didn’t fit. I will be finishing up my cabinets in this shade ! Looks great so far! Definitely recommend.

Quality is good, but color is not
I always use Country Chic color. This particular one is not at all pearly. It just white with a tint of green. May be my excepectation was not reaonsable to expect something pearly from chalk.

beautifulllll colour - definitely needs a top coat
I used a whole pint (two coats) to get the even coverage I was looking for and it turned out beautifully. Super easy to use paint. It dries really quickly so I recommend doing one side at a time to avoid brush strokes and get the most out of the product. I made the mistake of not using a top coat before dusting/cleaning with a wood cleaner and it removed some of the product. Definitely get a top coat if you want that clean finished look!

Beautiful paint, covers well and the finish is fantastic
I gave it four starts on easy to use only because it seems to dry quite quickly which makes going over brush strokes a bit challenging. It seems like a thicker paint that perhaps dries a little quicker than others and hard to not yield brush strokes. The best line for colours in my opinion. Very minimal prep work although I did degrease and do a light sanding before painting. Doesn't even need a top coat unless is in a high traffic area. The finish product is absolutely stunning. Would recommend this product hands down.

Country Chic paint.
I used a kit to refinish my cedar chest and liked it so much that I now use it for craft projects. Great coverage and easy application.

Easy to use. Very Good Coverage.
This paint was super easy to use. Had great coverage. A little goes a long way. Only tip is I used this paint on a dresser I was refinishing and did it outside on a very hot day. It dries really fast! Probably because of the heat and being clay based so I had to work fast! Would probably be better to do it on a cool day if using it outside.
