So Easy to Install
I thought I was going to have to replace the whole zipper on my winter coat, but came across this product and after reading the reviews (mixed), decided to give it a try. I watched the video on how to open and close the zipper slider and it was so easy. I think what surprised me most is that it actually works perfectly. I wasn't sure about the actual size of the zipper, because my original zipper had the number 5 and also an R-4 on the zipper, but I decided to try the number 5 as the actual zipper size and it worked perfectly. There is a small metal piece that sticks up, and many reviews complained about it, but I don't think it's that noticeable and can probably be filed down a bit if it becomes a problem. I'll update my review if the zipper slider doesn't last, but it seems pretty sturdy for now.

Don’t waste your money
I had high hopes for how expensive these were (for 30$ I should have bought a new jacket). When I opened the package, they were all slightly ajar. I had pushed one closed. It was super easy to do, not realizing that permanent closed the zipper. Annoying…. But my own fault I guess. At least there’s several.Second one broke in my hand. Also annoying. The only directions are what you see on the back of box. Which just say “take off old zipper and put on new one” I got one on my jacket and I had installed it upside down. Also annoying but again, I guess it’s my own fault.I finally got the third one on the jacket and it wouldn’t zipper up. Like the teeth of the jacket didn’t come together. My husband intervened at that point, thinking I used one that was too large. We broke that one off (again once it’s closed they are permanently closed) and we put a smaller one on.That was too small and we needed to break it off.I got the last medium on the jacket for the 400th time and it also didn’t zipper up the jacket. The teeth wouldn’t come together.Putting in a zipper is pretty simple, we looked up videos and it should have been smooth…… not sure if I got a defective box.The quality seemed really good. Like ligit metal, then when the one broke in my hands I realized maybe it wasn’t really metal.Very disappointed for the money paid. Should have just bought a new jacket.

Great for boot zip!
I can't tell you guys how happy I am that this worked out for my boot! It was easy to attach and zip up. The only complaint I have is there's a pointy metal piece that pokes my finger when I grab the zip tag. Otherwise, it gets the job done!

It works for certain use cases
First off let me say that I think something happened to the Zipper Industry over the last couple of years. Like maybe Supply Chain issues have led to lower quality zippers being used when clothes are manufactured. I don't know that for a fact but over the last two years I ended up buying two new Winter Coats that were both in the $150 range. So, not cheap coats but also not top of the line super expensive ones either. The zippers on both coats broke within a few weeks of wear. So I was looking around for some way to deal with the broken zippers without having to buy yet another new winter coat. That's how I found these zipper replacements. This review is for anyone looking at these and wondering if they really work...They work but only in a certain sense. They aren't like having the original zippers on the coat but they do make it possible to zip up the coat again. The metal ones I got seem fairly sturdy. All that being said I don't have confidence that these will last very long either. If you have a broken zipper and you want to put off finding a permanent fix or buying a whole new coat, these will get you by. I appreciated that.

Works well, but…..
Works as advertised. It is easy to install works very well. I added a little dry soap in couple of areas along the zipper for a smoother operation. I did not have any graphite so soap works. Now for the bad. There is a pointed spike near where the pull attaches that is where my finger grips the pull. The first time I zipped up my jacket I felt a sharp pain and noticed the spike drew blood. I think the spike is supposed to lock the pull in place, but I am going to trim it. Otherwise, I would have given a five star rating

Update: It works and it was easy to install.
I decided to give the product another chance. And it worked as expected. My original review is below. Maybe that first item was defective? The second item around, I was done fixing the zipper on my garment in about 5 minutes. It works!Original review: “Do I need to spray this thing with WD-40 to open it? Simply impossible with my bare hands. Tried opening it with my pointy pliers and that only helped a bit, but because the zippers jaws bent. Tried to open it for real by applying more force and it broke at the hinge. Is this a one-time defect or poor engineering? Either way, very frustrating. Refuse to recommend.”

Works great and stays closed
It was easy to use once you figure out how to use the zipper handle to open the zipper. Once you get it on it stays closed. I tried a cheaper replacement zipper and it would not stay closed once you put it on. I would highly recommend this one. Just make sure to select the correct size.

Top Lösung für verloren gegangene Zipper!
Leicht anzuwenden und sehr stabil. Preis Leistung absolut top.
