I live in the Tampa area and thus our AC system iz on pretty much all the time. The AC people who service our unit from time to time told me that air conditioners are designed to use these basic filters for maximum cold air flow. We do not have pets or asthma so do not need pleated filters that restrict air flow by their nature. Lowes and Home Depot often have spotty inventory of these basic filters in the three sizes I need so I buy these well constructed filters through Amazon.

I needed more flow for an older and overheating furnace so got these and they helped a lot. Poor air flow can cause overheat of the furnace internals or icing of the AC evaporator. The good flow of these resolved my issues along with adding another return duct. These filter OK with a lower particle trap rating and give a high flow. If that is what you need then perfect. Shipped and received in good shape. If your system shuts off before reaching set temperature its possible its overheating and shutting down. You wont notice unless you watch the temp vs thermostat setting. This burns up igniters in some cases. Highly recommend for any older system.

I like these filters because they reduce the suction pressure and the sound comming from my duct returns. If you have duct airflow issues give this style of filter a try first.

I need two of these per month for my A/C unit and got tired of trying to find the right size locally (no one seems to carry these around here anymore!). So I took a chance that these would work well and ordered a 12-pack. They fit in my A/C perfectly, filter the air perfectly, and since I'm just throwing them out once a month, I'm pretty happy with the price, too. If I had terrible allergies or lived in a dusty place I might need to find something that has a tighter weave, but I'm quite satisfied with these. Exactly what I needed.

Prescisionaire EZ flow A/C filter is sturdy and not as flexible as some cheaper ones! I’d say they are a happy medium, not so thick that it prohibits air flow this taxing your A/C and heating system to pull air through it. (Which according to my HVAC guys, ruin your A/C much sooner than necessary!). I live in Florida so it’s running a lot of the time! These are certainly affordable to replace monthly, as also recommended.

I don't have a lot of dust where I live and I change filters monthly so I needed something that worked but did not restrict air flow and this is the type of filter that I wanted. Good price. If you have lots of dust or you aren't good about changing filters, then this is NOT the filter for you.

Fit well seem to filter pretty good. A little more filter media would get the 5th star
