I’m not sure what size poles some of these reviewers are using my goodness. All 6 of my poles fit this just fine. Maybe don’t use a shark ocean pole for Pete’s sake. I wish the spiral was a few inches longer, but this thing is simple and it works well and it’s sturdy.Yes measure the size of your pole handle but all of my medium and medium-heavy rods fit this just fine. Good value and simple design

This holder has a 1.25" diameter opening, which works fine with Zebco Catfish Rods, but will not accommodate bass rods with the teardrop butt. It stays in the ground well if you can bury it deep enough (getting the triangle section below ground, which requires soft soil). However, the holder remains flexible even at this depth. If you want something that does not flex/give at all when a fish hits, this is not the holder you want.

I am really happy with the holder. It works great the metal is very strong and sturdy, not brittle and flimsy like other models. You can stick this holder into the hardest rockiest dirt you can find and put all the pressure you need without it breaking or snapping. Will buy again.

This bank rod holder works great for catfishing.

Great rod holder. Only problem is finding spot soft enough to get down to the triangle so it doesn't swing around. Use it all the time.

These things are pretty useless for anything other than a child's pole. The diameter of the spiral which is supposed to hold your rods is way too small. I have several normal-sized poles (nothing huge) and not a singe one would fit. I returned these immediately - would not recommend.
