Gets very hot very shortly while charging, and instructions are unclear when it's ready to use.
First complaint: As is typical of stuff that has to be imported, we have here a product that is presumably marketed to an American audience (as evidenced by it being on the American version of Amazon) but most of the instructions are in what I can only assume to be Chinese. The only thing that even told me what color the crystals in the window should be when it's ready to use is the box, and that only because I had found a single line in English; the picture does not match the one on the product page, as the one on the page clearly says "wet" and "dry" on each end of the color meter but the actual product just has a couple of symbols on each end--one symbol could resemble water drops (but does not clarify whether the device is "wet" and therefore in need of charging or if it's ready to place in a moist area) and one symbol that does not appear to indicate anything that I can make sense of.Second complaint: this thing gets hot within half an hour of being plugged in. The supposed 12-24 hours it takes to charge? My dad had to leave it sitting on the pellet stove (because the metal is cool enough to function as a heat sink when not in use as a stove) to let it cool off before doing anything with it while I was at work, and I still had to let it cool further before I could plug it in because it (apparently, see previous point about instructions) WASN'T DONE CHARGING.And I've been using this for a couple of weeks (one single charge as per the product page before another round of charging and cooling before I can use it again), and I see no evidence that it's actually accomplishing anything. For the price I expect the efficiency to be limited but this is excessive.

Dries, but long recharge
drew moisture, but took 2-3 days plugged in to recharge, while the name brand only took overnight
