I just got this, and am currently charging it for the first time, but thought I'd just give some first impressions.It's BRIGHT. In fact, I'm having some trouble seeing what I'm typing several minutes after accidentally flashing myself in the eyes! I'll compare it to my 1,100 cp Streamlite tonight.This model does not have a focusable beam. Unscrewing the bevel unscrews the bevel, and nothing more. Having unscrewed the bevel, I took a look at the sealing: There is none at all in the headlamp unit itself, so be aware of this if you're using it in a wet environment. The battery compartment is sealed to what I would call "damp-proof".For $20, this seems like a bargain. In fact, the parts would seem to be worth more than $20!I'll add to this after I've used the lamp for a while. My main uses for this are night time recreation (bicycling, hiking) and for added light around the brewery where I work.

DOA, would not charge or turn on. Replacement ordered and received a screen door. Refund received and they let me keep the screen door. Would rather have the headlamp as it seemed like a very good piece of equipment if I could only get one---that works...

I haven't used this headlamp very often but while it worked it was great. It is the brightest headlamp I've ever owned.I do wish there was a red light so you could adjust your eyes to the dark.The focus for the light was great. You could easily make the beam bigger or smaller.So why 1 star? It just stopped working the other day so I went to recharge it.Nothing... I have used it a handful of times and now its dead.It was one of my favorite head lamps but if it can't last I can't recommend it.Update: My friend needed new batteries and it used the same as this unit. They worked in his head lamp to I know it was something wrong with my head lamp and not just the batteries.
