Up in the air
Ms. Allen never disappoint s however I'm up in the air about this one. I wanted to like the main character from the start because of the hardships she endures however she was all over the place. This was a page turner believe me but this mean girl stuff should have ended in high school. All in all it was suspenseful and it keeps you hooked until the last page.

I became a detective
I was expecting a romance with a crime but I was I wasn't expecting the intricate twists. The story is set on a college campus and begins with a prank gone bad, but was it really a prank. The author drops you right into to the story running for your life (if you're like me you turn into one character during the story). In this one I was running too looking back like who's chasing us, what we do, what they do, are we about to die? These all ran through my mind. In fact since I expected a crime I thought this character would die. I'm glad we survived, barely. The story progresses along quite nicely for an amateur sleuth story. Amateur only because its not James Patterson or John Grisham type crime mystery. If you are expecting romance this is not for you. We were too busy trying to solve the mystery to be lamenting over who's going to get bent over the couch and banged out with four orgasms in 5 minutes like most romance novels. If you really want to know what this story is about think cheerleaders, frat boys and f*cked up interactions.I only wished there was more dialogue between Brooklyn and the guys. I wanted to know their thoughts. Do not look for anyone else's thoughts or prayers because this story is only from one character's perspective.

A Whole Lot of Trouble
What could be worse, a bunch of elitist prima donna cheerleaders hating on a Cinderella-type of other student, or being accused of a crime? Try both... Brooklyn was minding her business hanging with her crush Aiden Black when all heck broke loose and she was caught in their web. Brooklyn was a scholarship student, a dancer sent to play nice with the cheerleading squad. The squads leader was out to shame her about her so called man. As the story unravels, Brooklyn was accused of unmentionable issues and needed her best friend to reduce her stress. James came to her rescue.... Side note: James can get it.... His side of the story helped to make Brooklyn's strife easier to watch. Although James and Brooklyn came from similar backgrounds, he was a star athlete, and Brooklyn was the outsider in her crew. She needed to pull strength from within to deal with her fate. Would the victim be victimized for her social status? The outcome was movie theatre ready. The story was a romantic suspense, that kept my interest until the last page turned.

Big Trouble!
This story gave me the vibe of The Women of V series, with the mystery, intrigue, and whodunit! I enjoyed Brooklyn, and how she stayed true to herself, even when things got dicey! I was so afraid for her, as things were looking real shady! Those heifer cheerleaders were something else! To plan this elaborate prank to harm Brooklyn, who didn't give a damn about any of them? Like for what? I still couldn't figure out who else other than Dakota, had it out for Brooklyn, until it was revealed. Carter's mom was a savage! She was getting justice for her baby! James is the man๐! He was there every step of the way to help Brooklyn out. I was disappointed in Aiden, as I thought he would do right by Brooklyn, because he was feeling her. But, nope it's all his family and image that was important. Glad James got his girl. They truly deserved each other. Great read! ๐๐๐

Suspenseful
I was not expecting this book to grab me the way it did. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I wasnโt sure if Brooklyn was going to make it through all of the mess.Daniel Allen has really become my favorite author because she is so versatile with her writing. I canโt wait to read more

Suspense, Sex, Scandal
This book was everything. Usually, I can't read anything with suspense because it drags out and my nerves are too bad. Danielle's writing style drew me in so well! I had to see it all the way through I had to follow the trail of clues to find out who was really behind these horrible acts!

Live-action suspenseful thriller
This was yet another book by Danielle Allen that drew me in and kept my attention. I was so deeply entrails, just like when I was reading "The One", this book read like I was watching an ABC network show, (shout out to Annalise Keating). I could literally visualize every scene. It was vivid and thorough. I quickly went from rooting for Brooklyn to get with Aiden to hating his guts so quickly lol. Brooklyn and James just seemed to be made for each other, even though it took her a lot longer to catch on, trying to be loyal to a disloyal "friend". I loved the outcome! Bravo Danielle!

Trouble indeed!
This book is mean girls on steroids. Brooklyn's whole future is at stake because of a prank played by her nemesis Dakota goes horribly wrong. Read this book to discover the who, what, when, where and why. Read this book to become a master detective. Read this book for the sexy, the intrigue, the betrayal and the subtle tidbits she drops in all of her books. Is this a romance book? Sure, it's that and much more because this book has layers and characters you will want to throat punch. It's an excellent story told as only Danielle Allen can tell it.
