Esse Premium Reusable Grocery Bag Set (3 grocery bags with tote, bonus bag, Black)

Pros:Holds it shape; Almost as sturdy as light canvas, folds easily, neatly, and compactly; Snaps closed. I will never buy a reusable bag again that doesn't have that snap feature (hard to find)-- no more messy piles of scrunched up bags in back of car- these slot nicely into the storage pockets on back of front car seats or stay compactly together in their carrying container. 1 or 2 slot nicely into a full size purse as you head into store.Very sturdy, durable, can handle heavy load of bottles and cans, and has held up well over many months use. High capacity is more than a paper grocery bag.Cons:Wish straps were a little longer--unless you're petite can't easily fit over shoulder, impossible if wearing a jacket. More color choices than just black would be nice (small design is almost irrelevant, it's only on the storage pouch, not bags themselves)

When they arrived I was impressed. They were made of a very thick material (just like I had hoped), they fold up nicely and easily, with snaps, and they come in a little bag to keep them all together. I thought I had hit it out of the park and bought an item that checked all the boxes-- until I went to use one for the first time. While carrying it the strap split in two, near the middle. It's not as if the stitches attaching it to the bag came free, but the handle literally tore in half. And this was not from a super heavy, overloaded bag. It was the same amount of material & weight I have put in any number of other, lighter-weight grocery bags I have used for years without incident. If anything a bag of this heavier material should be able to carry TWICE as much as those cheaper, lighter bags. The 2 star rating is generous considering that I can't use it without sewing entirely new (and better made) straps on all of them. I so wanted to love these... *sigh* not impressed. Shoddy material.

I just bought my second set of these. I had the first set for about eight years before the fabric started to get thin spots. I love the way the bags fold up and store so neatly. No bulk and no mess.

Received my first bag set as a gift. They go with me everywhere. Now I'm giving them as gifts. Fabulous product which keeps the plastic bags at bay.
