I bought this Rigger Knife to add to my collection.I read the reviews and intended to reset the handle screws with Loctite, however to my delight the screws are very tight which I tested with the included screw driver. In addition there are five spare screws included.The finish is smooth, the operation of all blades is excellent.Since I am no longer am active sailor I will leave the stress testing to professional users.I would highly reccoment this Rigger Knife to professionals and amateurs alike

This is a well made marlin spike, although the spike is sharper than need be and requires careful use. The knife blade is serrated, but would have preferred a regular sharp knife blade. The wooden hand grip is great looking, but one side is marred by a garish manufacturer’s symbol. Regardless this is good useful marlin spike and used it to untie complex knots successfully. I’d buy it again.

The knife is good quality.Comes with additional screwdriver and screws, knife pocket. These items are not listed in description “What is in the box”.

This knife looks great and I had high hopes for it. But the first time I tried to loosen a small clevis screw with the tip of the spike it bent and cracked on me. The screw wasn't even that tight. The metal is unmarked and I suspect it is really poor grade stainless. This is a show knife and not a go knife. The $9.99 rigger knives on amazon are way more durable than this knife. I am going back to the plain knives and order three for the price of this one.

This item for the most part is well designed, versatile for intended uses. However there is an issue that reduced my evaluation after using and carrying only one day. There are four small screws that hold the side scales to the knife’s handle. They apparently were not fastened securely and one fell out and was lost. Two have remained tight and one has backed out as well. The unfortunate part that is most disturbing is that it is difficult finding a replacement screw. When I am able to replace that screw , I will lock tight it and the remaining three into their respective places. The picture shows the missing screw countersink. I would suggest that anyone purchasing this product, lock tight the four fastening screws.
