JUSTUP 5.5" Classic Retro Clock, European Style Vintage Silent Desk Alarm Clock Non Ticking Quartz Movement Battery Operated, HD Glass Lens, Easy to Read (SZ01)

My husband got me this clock for my home office. It's vintage elegant, big enough to see without squinting, but not so big it takes up too much real estate. And it's completely QUIET! It has a sweep second hand rather than the jerky hand most battery clocks have. So far, it is telling time quite well.

Once I got it assembled, it looks and works great. Pretty, quiet, and the alarm is not offensive. HOWEVER, it took me a while to get it put together. Why? When I opened the box I discovered the two round feet were loose in the box and the screws that should have attached them from the inside of the clock were loose and rattling around inside the clock. I had to remove the battery case, find a teeny-tiny screwdriver, unscrew 4 teeny-tiny screws holding the back and the front of the clock together, pull off the time-adjusting knob on the back and pull off the alarm-set knob on the back as well so that I could remove the entire back and get inside of the clock to get to the screws. Once I attached the little round feet from inside the clock, tightened the loose top thingy as well, put the back on and put the 4 teeny-tiny screws back in to hold it, then reattached both the time-adjusting knob and the alarm-set knob, it was good to go. However, with my deteriorating vision and arthritis in my hands, I should not have to go through all that with a new product. Made in China, so buyer beware!

I bought this clock because I liked the look of it for my study. I just wanted something unobtrusive on my desk, so I could glance at it if I didn't have my laptop open. I read the specifications about the batteries. So, it IS my fault that I thought the information said that I could use carbon zinc batteries (which I couldn't find any where but Amazon) OR rechargeable batteries (which I DID purchase while I was at Home Depot for something else - and they cost more than the clock itself). But the bad news is that you CANNOT use rechargeable batteries (I re-read the rules AND the extra e-mail they sent); after only two days, the time is off by a full TWENTY minutes. So, If you like the look of this clock, then go ahead and purchase the carbon zinc batteries. Now, if I get the CZ batteries, and the clock still malfunctions, I will absolutely be returning it. No one should have to jump through this many hoops to enjoy a product -- I don't care how inexpensive it is. Someone's making a profit somewhere, and it shouldn't be at my expense. :(

This is a very nice looking clock that keeps time well, but it is NOT quiet. It has a very annoying high rate clicking sound that I have not been able to rectify even after opening it and trying to resolve the problems. The gears are just very noisy. Disappointed because I like everything else about the clock.

It is beautiful and I like it, BUT IT TICKS!!! I CAN HEAR IT FROM ACROSS THE ROOM, 15 FEET AWAY!So, it makes about 4 ticks per second. Even someone who is 79 could hear it. That's not very tick-less!Also, there are others that look just like this on Amazon with non-roman-numeral numbers, if you prefer, which I just noticed now.

The Classic Retro Clock is attractive, and so far is keeping time, and really is SILENT which was important to me.BUT the the face of the clock does NOT look as bright/light in person as it does online, and as such, is hard to read across the room where I need it to set. I'm disappointed but will keep it for now. 11-17-2019/UPDATE Wish I had sent it back when I discovered it wasn't as bright as I had wished, because now IT MAKES A SECOND HAND SOUND ALL THE TIME! If I shake it, its quiet for a few minutes then starts right back up again. It sounds like a refrigerator running, it is so noisy! Too late to send it back, so off to Restore for Habitat it goes. Annoying...

I expected a light and a snooze feature. Maybe I didn’t read the description very well as it doesn’t appear to have them. The basic design of the clock it flawed. The two balls on the front tilt the clock back so much that every time I reach for it to turn the alarm off it always falls off the night stand, into the floor, the battery cover comes off, the battery rolls under the bed and after a few times a hand broke short and the lens broke. Very disappointed.

I purchased this clock for a guest room in our home. I paired it with a shabby chic blue metal vase & lavender. The clock keeps time perfectly, is very attractive and sized perfectly for my needs. Everyone that sees it compliments it and asks where I bought it. Highly recommend this clock.

I purchased this clock for a bedroom. When it arrived one of the feet was broken. I contacted the seller by email and sent pictures of the damage. They were very kind and in turn, sent another clock to replace it. The colour is perfect and it is very pretty in the room. The best part about this clock is its silence. No ticking or noise of any kind. Thank you.

My friend bought me the blue one and I absolutely loved it. So I bought another one and both of them aren’t working they’re not keeping with the time I’m very disappointed I love these clocksThey don’t keep the time properly if they don’t work

It's a bit darker than expected, which makes it difficult to see the time, unless you are up close to it. But it works well. It has an alarm function too. I just wish it had a lightest face color, which is why I am not giving it 5 stars.

I liked the clock. I think it is a nice size. Unfortunately the one I received seems to have a flaw or defect in the battery area and I am going to have to return the item

Silent clock with no ticking sound. Proper size. Works well. You can read the clock from a few meters. Has a nice classic look. Good purchase for the price you pay. I'm so happy with it.
