Poles are steel that will rust near saltwater, unlike others that are aluminum, so not equivalent to other brands.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This Sun Shade as posted shows a picture of a beach with absolutely NO WIND. This Shade simply does not work where there is wind and rarely is there a beach that doesn't have wind. We tried our poles on every side and in every direction and it was not possible to keep the poles from bending or the full bags of aend from dragging out of the deep holes that we dug. The flaps did not stay in place because of the wind--I really wanted this to work but it didn't. What it did do was give a lot of laughs to the other people who had nice sturdy beach canopies. I do think that this could be nice at a lake but sadly..not our beach. I think that if there were no wind you would also die of heat at the beach, so I would look for another product.Updated due to previous comments, the other issue with this sail is that it doesn't really provide a lot of cover as the promotion picture shows. You can tell in the picture that the time of day in that photo is nearly mid-day. And even in this picture, the person lying down is in the sun. On the first day that we used it when we were able to sit under it briefly, it only covered two of us fairly well.
