Ettore43012 Extension Pole, 12', Silver, Blue

I should have bought one of these poles several years ago! We have a two story entrance with a window way up high, and it always had spider webs, dead wasps and dust that bugged me. I finally broke down and bought this Ettore 43012 pole and the Ettore 48221 cobweb brush, and not only have I cleaned the cobwebs out of the window but I've gone all over my house dusting the ceilings and trim. It's amazing how many cobwebs I didn't even notice!This pole extends easily to 12 feet by opening out three sections. The pole is slightly bendy when it's fully opened, but not floppy. I was able to hold the pole out from the upstairs landing to the window and clean out all the mess in the window and the upper corners of the wall. The pole tubes are metal, with heavy plastic connectors. The handle is comfortable plastic, and has a hole for hanging when not in use. The business end of the pole has threads for screw-on tools, and a click-lock button to snap on other types. The brush snapped on securely, and I'm planning to buy the washing pad and squeegee next.$23 is a lot of money for a pole, but when I consider dragging out the extension ladder and teetering on the top of it with my cleaning supplies, this is a good buy!

Holy cow, I love this thing. We have really high windows with windows on our house. I could never find anything to reach high enough to get the cobwebs cleaned out. I was a little skeptical on this since it is reasonably priced- but I will say it is perfect length wise, the quality is really good and the price is awesome. I also love all the accessories that can be purchased. I did the cobweb brush with this and it works great, now that I know they are decent quality and work well I will be looking to add more accessories to keep those high windows cleaner.

The product is well built, but early on so don't know about durability. It is simple to extend and lightweight. The length is helpful for tall ceilings.

I have three small windows that are about 16' above the ground. Cleaning them involved getting out my extension ladder and climbing up and down three times. Consequently they didn't get cleaned very often. The extension pole with pad and squeegee attachments turn these windows into a 10 minute job. I also use the extension pole to clean two picture windows that while not as high still required a ladder to reach over the bushes that are directly in front of them. The cleaning is satisfactory on the high windows but not as good as can be done from the ladder (working on the end of a 12' pole does have some limitations) but this is a small price to pay for the convenience. It would be nice if both the pad and squeegee could be mounted on the pole at the same time to avoid the extra step of lowering the pole to change attachments. That's where my only problem has occurred. One time I pressed the attachment release button to remove the pad, the button went in too far and slid up inside the pole and couldn't be retrieved. So now I must rely on the friction fit between the pole and attachments to keeps them on. So far that had not been a serious problem. I imagine the extension pole with proper attachments would also be very useful with paint rollers, dusters, etc.

Bought this to go with the Ettore 48221 Cobweb Brush with Click-Lock Feature. Both are of excellent quality and materiel. I was worried I'd get some lightweight pole that would bend (especially extended to fool length), however the extension pole is made of a heavy duty metal with grooves down the length for easy gripping. You can extend it to various heights up to the advertised 12 foot. It is easy to attach, extend and use. Plan on using it outdoors and expect it to last forever. Have already used it to sweep the house and carport for those annoying cobwebs. Since it is such good quality I will consider buying some of the other Ettore tools that can be attached to this.

It solved a big problem I had keeping big and tall Windows clean on our ranch house. Between the height of the windows, and wide and deep walkouts, I was not able to reach the top 1/3 of the Windows, and I was in danger of breaking my neck in the walkouts. This solved the problem easily. Along with the good quality Ettore attachments I had already, it is now very easy to keep the Windows sparking in less time. This was a good purchase. I can also use this to reach cobwebs inside the house in our cathedral ceilings.

Bought this to help keep windows clean that are too high to reach with a ladder. This pole broke off on the end only the second time using it. I now have to get the broken blue tip out of the squeegee and buy another brand of pole.

Like it a lot, it's sturdy, very long when extended and ever so sturdy. But, quite heavy for my delicate wrists.
