You will lose the function of your garage door!
This is a very well made product but make sure it suits your needs before you buy it! Firstly, assembly was a bit intense. You had to lay and cut the screens yourself. There is a complicated pulley system that needs to be put together. It took us 2 full days to get it together. Once assembled, it looks beautiful and serves its purpose well. However, it completely changed the function of our garage door. We can no longer use our garage door opener. We had to disconnect this and now have to manually open and close the garage door and manually lock it so we can no longer conveniently enter our home from the garage. You cannot have both the screen door and the garage door closed at the same time, so anytime the garage door is closed, the screen is directly over your head. It has it's own frame which is installed below the garage door frame. So for a standard 7 foot high garage door, the screen is about 6.5 feet high when it is up. This means it's right over your head. It feels awfully claustrophobic, even for a 5'5" woman like me. And the biggest problem is that you don't realize this until you've already cut and fitted the screens so it's too late to return this nearly $1100 door. We spend a lot of time in our garage, as we use our garage as our gym. This is why we needed the screens, but in the cooler weather when we have the garage doors closed, the screen will be right over our heads and we will be unable to do any overhead exercises. We're very disappointed :/

Great product, wish the instructions were a little better.
So I can definitely see how someone might think they'd lose their garage function with this door, but that's not the case at all. However, if you only follow the instruction booklet that comes with the door, you will be very very lost.Pros:- Truck still fits in the garage. (2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD)- Luckily I researched this door way more than I should have and found that the manufacturers made a YouTube playlist that describes every step of the process. Including how to unpack the boxes, what to lay out, and how to lay it out.- I took my time (better part of a day) with a couple of friends and made sure we did everything correctly. It's definitely a DIY job if you feel comfortable with a drill and using a ladder.- Every part was solid and fit correctly, and the finished product looks fantastic.- Truck still fits in the garage!!! (2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD)- There's nothing flimsy about this product at all once it's finished.Cons:- The screen spline is tricky. It's not really a con, but it's difficult to get right if you don't have the correct size spline tool. I ended up tearing a little bit of the screen, but it's my own fault. I'll probably look for some replacement screen material if the small cut grows any larger.- I believe the YouTube videos are a LITTLE misleading in the fact they make it seem like this is something that can be done by one person. Sure, if you've put these together for a living. If you plan on doing this yourself, make sure you grab an extra set of hands or two.- We also found that the instruction booklet and YouTube videos contradicted each other in a couple of areas. So when that happened we just stopped, compared both, and used common sense. If you take your time, follow EVERY step (especially garage door adjustments before installation begins), and double check every step you do, everything will go smoothly. Plus you won't have to pay the $500-$800 I was quoted to have it installed.
