Works Great On Plastic With Heavy Oxidation!
I used two products to restore my 3 large brown plastic deck boxes that had heavy oxidation from years of direct exposure to UV/sun and rain. The flat surfaces were treated with CAR GUYS Plastic Restorer. It has a creamy texture like a car wax and I was concerned it would leave a waxy buildup in textured areas, so I only used this on flat surfaces. Simply squirt some onto the provided applicator and wipe on, that's it - no buffing or wiping. For the textured surfaces I wanted a liquid product so I used Jaysdom Plastic Restorer. Just spray on and scrub with the provided brush to apply evenly and loosen any solids on the surface, then wipe excess with the provided rag. After application using these products the deck boxes looked like new, but how long would it last? I'm happy to say that it is now 2 weeks later during which we had both bright sun/UV and heavy rains (including a soaking Nor' Easter) and the deck boxes still look great! There are a couple of small textured surface areas that need a little touch up, but aside from that they look great! I hope these products last for months, but even if they only last a couple of months it is worth it to me since they restored the look of my deck boxes which were looking pretty old from the oxidation!Photo 1 shows a closeup of one box before treatment. Photo 2 shows the same box but with the flat surface area on the left treated with the Car Guys product. Photo 3 shows the same box before final treatment with both products. Photo 4 shows the box after application of both products as discussed above.

Seems good so far.
First off, I'm not that dude known for waxing cars or shiny rims.I had my old truck rhino coated, and 1.5 years later had done nothing to preserve the rubber.I applied this stuff to the hood only (small goals). Next day, it had a greater luster and shine than the rest of the truck. That's all I can say for now. Will help from the beating sun? Time will tell. No complaints thus far.

Does not live up to all the promises it claims
Plain and simple it works well for interior plastic and leather. Nice smell easy application without any residue or leaving your seats slick. HOWEVER as for the exterior plastic parts it’s not worth spit at all. Bumper plastic mirror plastic and other trim parts it did not even phase Quite honestly baby oil made the exterior parts look way better than this stuff. That’s why I give it 2 stars. It’s a good interior product but not for exterior use at allUPDATE. As of 6-4-2025 I have been offered a full refund and have accepted. So even though the product failed customer service is wonderful. So I will give four stars.

Bumper looks new
My bumper was almost white it was so faded and now it looks brand new! I applied it a week ago and it’s been 100 degrees every day and hasn’t faded at all. Super durable and I only needed a small amount. I also used it on the trim around my mirrors.

I'm Impressed
When I first opened the product, removed the seal, squeeze some out to use...the lid is broken. Very unfortunate. I emailed the company and they responded right away and quickly remedied the situation. Probably the best, fastest customer service ever. They get 5 stars from me!I also used the product on every plastic surface on my car. Followed the directions to a T. A little goes a long way. It's the best it's ever looked. Very pricey, but worth it.

Finally, a plastic restorer that actually works! Car Guys Detail.
I purchased Car Guys Detail for the tonneau cover on my 2004 Silverado and I was extremely pleased with the results. My tonneau cover looks as good as new, actually slightly better. I also used Car Guys on all the black plastic, mirrors, bumpers, etc on the exterior of my truck and the results are fantastic. The product is easy to use, apply with the supplied applicator, wait 10 to 30 minutes, wipe with soft cloth and smile at the results. Car Guys leaves no sticky residue, it just leaves the surface feeling smooth and clean. I have tried numerous products on my bumpers over the years and none never lasted very long or left my bumpers looking as good as they do with Car Guys Detail plastic restorer. Time will tell how long Car Guys will last, but I'm confident the shine will last at least a few months. This product is definately worth the cost. Although the bottle I purchased is small 8oz, I only used less than half on my truck. This product goes a long way and will be a great addition to my detailing products. I've already recommended Car Guys to friends and relatives. Try it, I am sure that you will love the results. Thank you Car Guys for a product well made and easy to use.

Worked for interior plastic door panel...
Needed something to remove / cover up scuff marks for new car. Used cleaner first then applied 2 coats with this stuff. See for yourself to judge quality.Need to rub more on one section. Glad this stuff has multiple purposes...

Restores luster to faded plastic, but attracts dirt like a magnet
I was really happy with the results of just one application of this on the very faded plastic bumper trim of my Sprinter van. It restored the grey looking plastic to a much darker, healthier, color. The treatment also lasted really well ( unlike Armor All which I'd tried previously and which just faded back to grey very quickly ).Then I went to the desert....All the areas that I had treated were absolutely covered with a layer of dust. I could even see the places where I'd gone just a bit over with the application because they too had attracted and held a layer of dust. I wish I had taken a picture because it was remarkable. I was able to wash off the dust at the car wash, so it wasn't bonded or anything. We'll see how the plastic and the restorative effects of the treatment holds up after this experience.Just though folks should know so they're not caught by surprise after using the product.
