As some previous reviewers have noted, the tip protector sometimes comes off and the set can't be used because the tip is no longer sterile. What I have found works well is to open the package very carefully & locate the tip protector. Hold it in place & tighten the luer lock to be sure the protector stays on. Then you can remove the set from the packaging. Otherwise, it is a very nice set with the shorter tubing that I was looking for, and a good price. I am guessing that during manufacturing, some of the luer locks come loose & that's why the tips can fall off when you open the package.

So far about one out of every three sets I've opened has the protective end cap fallen off the adapter tip when I take it out of the package. This obviously compromises sterility, so that set can't be used. Of the approximately 2/3 of the sets in the case that are initially usable, several have dinky luer lock adapters (probably the reason so many end caps fall off even before opening) that won't untwist from the needle after use, or that slide past the adapter flange and on up the tube .

The product was good as expected.
