Great cleanser and good value
Really great cleansing balm - it's a lot like Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel but if anything, this has a better texture. It melts into a lovely, non-greasy oil and removes makeup and dirt beautifully. It smells gorgeous but it is quite strongly perfumed so be aware of that if you're sensitive to perfume in skincare. However, I've found it gentle and non-irritating. I massage it in and then buff it off with a hot, damp flannel and it leaves my skin clean, bright and soft. The packaging is nothing fancy but super-convenient and travels really well. I have oily skin and I find this balances my skin nicely without being too harsh.

Excellent product, great results, last for a long time
Love this balm. It’s just the right consistency, thick enough to squeeze out on to your fingers but then melts in to your skin when you massage it in. When rinsed off leaves my face feeling very clean and not too dry. Took a week or so to get used to it as initially I felt it did leave my skin a bit dry but think that was also because I was used to a cleansing milk. I definitely still need to use moisturiser after it (I have dry skin). Smells lovely and lasted me about three months (you only need a little as it melts in so well). The tone of my skin has definitely improved since using it. Good price too. I would recommend this product and I have bought it again.

As good as pricier balms - love this product!
I love this product but the distinct scent it has might be a little 'love it or hate it ' for some people. I like it! A little goes a long way and it removes waterproof eye makeup really well (using a damp muslin cloth to wipe it off). Feels silky smooth to apply and doesn't aggravate my eyes. Packaging and scent not quite as luxurious as some high end expensive balm cleansers (eve lom, rodial, emma hardie etc) so it doesnt feel so much of a treat to use, but works just as well and really does the job at a reasonable price. Lovely product. Only dropped one star due to the basic packaging and the scent which some might not like.

Alas no substitute
Smells nice. Feels good when using but not suitable for removing waterproof mascara well/gently. I had bought it as a possible substitute for discontinued Clarins cleansing melt gel but it doesn’t come close I’m afraid. It has a slight ‘mintiness’ to it which makes my eyes smart if trying to remove mascara and it does not rinse off as well as the Clarins did. Not bad as a plain cleanser though.

Perfect on sensitive skin. Feels kind and luxurious. Wonderful product.
I have now used Merumaya cleansing balm for over a year, with a small break, where I used another make (failed to order Merumaya in time for Christmas holidays), which was a skin catastrophe. I am in my fifties and my daughter (in her mid twenties) recommended Merumaya, and she has had exactly the same experience - a brief try of something else, with a very swift return to Merumaya cleansing balm. So, I can highly recommend this balm for younger and older skin. It offers a luxurious and extremely efficient, but gentle, cleansing experience. Just a 5p sized amount provides enough balm to glide across the whole face and neck, removing all trace of makeup, including mascara and eye makeup. There is no dragging of the skin, but much more of a gentle massage and sweeping action. My skin is super sensitive, but it feels fresh, clean and soft with Merumaya. Try it - you will not be disappointed!

Smells divine
I got my first sample of this in a beauty box, and it's now part of my daily routine, I've since purchased the larger size from Amazon. I have oily breakout prone skin, and this leaves my skin clean, soft and radiant. It's a gorgeous smelling, and goes on as a balm that emulsifies with water, making it easy to remove taking all your makeup with it. It has a slight exfoliating action so it lifts dead skin cells too. Having oily skin I was concerned that a balm would make my skin greasy or cause breakouts but it doesn't. Fantastic product, highly recommend it.

Disappointing
I wanted a cheaper alternative to the Eve Lom cleansing balm, which is wonderful, but fiendishly expensive, and this seemed a more affordable option. So I went for this and bought the bi-phase eye-make-up remover with it. The latter is a disappointment, and sadly, I'm not that much more impressed with this. All the balms I've tried...and there have been quite a few...are a little more solid than this...certainly, none of them would be dispensable in a tube, so this seemed a bit too liquid to come under what I consider a balm.It does smell really nice but it's a little too runny...by the time you've splashed your face with any water, it's run off your face. I didn't feel my face was a thoroughly cleansed as with any other balm I've used, nor did it feel any more refreshed or soft.Cheaper, yes, but just not as effective.

Great first cleanse balm.
At the beginning of using this product I thought with so much fragrance this might not agree with my very sensitive skin. I was totally wrong on that as it was great. Loved this product. I use this as the first cleanse in my double cleansing routine at night when I am wearing makeup during the day.
