Best 8U glove
We tried some different gloves and love the 11.5 a500. This is the best for several reasons. It’s pretty much game ready but does need a little break in. It’s top grain leather so it’s lighter, easier to work leather. Top grain leather makes the glove very easy to close and catch with for a young player still developing hand strength. We don’t have issues with the laces coming untied often, laces have to be retied properly when they do come untied. I can see this being a great glove up to 10U, I don’t think there is a better glove for 8U. The 10.5 a500 is a tball size glove but the same quality otherwise. if I could go back in time and was starting first year of tball I’d probably buy the 11 inch a500 and we would have used it from tball through coach pitch.

The best beginner glove
Love this glove. 5 years ago I purchased an A500 for my son at 7 years old. This year I purchased this one for my 8 year old daughter. The A500 baseball gloves are a higher quality than the A500 softball gloves.Easy to break in and has a good feel. Very happy.

Glove needed re-laced after 4 tournaments.
At first my son loved this glove, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. I bought this glove June 20th to celebrate my son making the local Allstars team and by July 26th every lace had to be redone. Every knot from the factory came untied but the laces rip when you try tieing them tight. I've unfortunately become skilled with a leather needle fishing new laces into this glove.

Great Catcher Mitt, Terrible laces
The glove material and design is great. Fits my 9u player great and breaks in quick. The laces are very poor quality and the I’ll break. For the price, it’s a deal. You can put in Heavier duty laces and change the color if you like. Overall great product and the best youth mitt we’ve used.
