Great log splitter
This is a great compromise between a powered splitter which would cost into 100s, and an axe-type, which is likely to get stuck in the log, this would mean you'd have to swing the axe and log together to finish the job, which is hazardous. This item takes a bit of work to split larger logs, I've successfully split logs about 30cm across. Most powered splitters wouldn't accept such wide logs. Once this is embedded in the log (usually achieved in 1-2 belts with a sledge hammer) you have your hands free to hold the log and belt it with the hammer until it splits the log. Good reliable log splitter and cheep to buy. Works well.

Practical & durable
Really splits logs quickly and easily. Quite heavy and solidly made, you'd have to be superman to break it. The best technique I found was to bash the pointy end into the centre of the log with a club hammer and then follow up (if you still need to) with a sledgehammer. 'Elf & safety' would recommend that you still wear plastic eye protectors just in case of the million-to-one-chance that a bit of it splinters and breaks off when you strike it, the 'law of sod' of course decrees that it would head towards your eyes. Happy log bombing!

Works well enough
I have used it to split quite a lot of semi seasoned logs up to 300mm with a sledge. It does split them fine but the majority split in 2 rather than 4 section was hoping that it would split into 3-4 sections each time. Works on fresh cut too but takes a few more hits so not as efficient. If you don't have a lot to do then this is worth it. For big loads the more expensive log splitter would be what you need.

Quick & easy but metal bits come off
I received a cool looking blu log bomb. I used a lump hammer not a sledge hammer and split 5 logs that I had ‘found’ near come cleared woodland last night. The logs were about 10” long and varying diameter of about 6 to 10”.The log bomb split them no problem. Just like it up in the middle of the log and tap it into place and then a few are whacks and the log splits in two. Super easy to use.I did however feel bits of metal hitting my face when I struck the log bomb so will be safety google / snorkelling mask when I spit the nicest lot of logs I’m going to go out and find later this evening.

Inferior product
Worked ok while it lasted. Only had it two weeks and it hasn’t had excessive use you can still see the original sticker on it.I will try another brand And maybe pay a bit more, as the saying goes you get what you pay for and cheap isn’t always best

Log Splitting Made Easy
This log bomb is a substantial piece of kit, with a good weight to it. So far it has been a real big help in splitting the logs which have been gathered. After a few attempts to get used to, it is quick and easy to use. I have found it easiest to start it off by using a club hammer to tap and get it secured within the timber before going for it with powerful blows.I would recommend the use of safety goggles or glasses, just in case the wood splinters up towards the face. The log bomb arrived quickly and so far I have been very pleases and would recommend.

Broke second use.
Purchased one last year. They are fantastic in theory and do split logs like an absolute dream. Last years broke. I thought it was my husband being heavy handed so bought one myself.Used it twice and the same thing happened again. Awaiting company to respond. Not able to contact the company via amazon. It goes to another site. Not looking promising.Very unimpressed. Personally wouldn't purchase one if you'd like it to work!

Game changer
Was slogging with a splitting axe, 20+ hits, barely a scratch to the log then the axe broke. Got this instead, wishing I got one years ago.Only used it to split 6 logs so cant speak to its longevity but that was just 10 minutes use instead of probably a couple of hours.
