Air Turn DUO

I am a pastor and worship leader and saved and bought this for use with the iPad app "OnSong" when leading worship at church.I ordered on Wednesday evening and paid extra for next day delivery, but the item didn't come until Friday morning, I guess that's because I placed the order after of close of business - an annoyance, but delivery was still really quick.First impressions were "is this all I paid 90 quid for?"The board is smaller than I expected - about the size of an A5 sheet of paper and about 1/2" thick. Build is plastic and doesn't look particularly robust, although in my experience, sometimes looks can be decieving, so I guess only time will tell.It took a while for me to pair it with my iPad - the manual has all the info you need, but the process you go through to set up relys on pressing and releasing buttons while counting flashes on an LED. So to change to iPad mode, and then pair uses a pedal and the on/off switch, and the only indication is the flashing of the LED - so for example, to set to iPad mode, you have to hold down switch 1, turn on, see the led flash, release switch, then watch the LED falsh red then green then red. To pair, hold the power switch down for 8s and see the LED flash R-G-R then release - this made setup fiddly. Set up within the App was a breeze, just enter the configure screen, press the footswitch and allocate a task to it.Once set up is achieved, it works brilliantly - have only tried it in practice, but initial impressions are that it will be exaclty what I wanted - no fiddling about with paper and books - it will be especially useful in the wind!All in all, I am hoping that in a year or two's time I will be saying "I can't imagine being without this thing". I have to say I think that will be the case.

This is a great bit of kit but it has one design flaw...It pairs with my iPad without a hitch and works reliably. I have used this in a number of live and studio situations and it hasn't let me down yet!The only issue I have is when powering off. To power off the unit you hold the power button for 3/4 seconds. To reset the pairing (and wipe your bluetooth link) you hold the power button for 8 seconds. Be careful!! It's very easy to reset the pairing instead of turning it off - which is a bit of a disaster when you turn off after sound check before a gig.If the pairing control was any button other than the power button this would get 5 stars.. as it is, it's far to easy to wipe your connection.

Never having been a fan of bluetooth products, I ordered this product with a degree of uncertainty. It arrived when expected and was well packaged. The instructions that come with the product are clear and concise. The product requires charging before first use and this was readily accomplished. Initial attenpts to get it connected with my iPad were not immediately successful, but the problem I suspect was lack of familiarity with the process. Since then, connection to the iPad has been simple and reliable. In use, the product does precisely what its description says it does and has performed flawlessly since. I have only two potential issues - One: that if it is allowed to discharge completely it's a factory battery replacement. But with 100 hours battery life per charge and fairly frequent use / re-charging it will not ever dischage completely. Even so, a battery charge indicator would be a nice addition. Two: Can you take the pedal board off? For gigs I would like to have the pedals further apart to avoid accidentally turning the page the wrong way. Overall an excellent product for the price and I am pleased with my purchase

Works great with new ipad3. I used a few different softwares and all were ok. Never had an issue with the bluetooth connecting. Just switch on and good to go. The only downsides are when charging if the unit is not switched on there is no led indication. I changed ables several times as first before realising. As the unit shows up as a keyboard on the ipad the onscreen keyboard does not always come up when you click on a entry box as it expects you to type on your bluetooth keyboard, the instructions say to press the power button momentarily to solve this but the button is small and not so easy to get to especially if the pedals are on the floor and you are holding your instrument in a busy place. If it could be done by pressing both pedals simulanously then it would be better. All in all very good, but expensive.

Great device - got two - one for me on guitar and one for my wife on piano. We use them on Music Reader for hands free page turning and they work so what more can I say! Set-up and pairing is quite straightforward with clear instructions in the manual. We have one working on a PC and the other on a Mac. If you are using Music Reader just make sure that the preferences are set to 2 Pedal mode - ours were on 4 pedal mode and this caused a problem to start with. Also great service from Air Turn - quick and helpful replies to any questions.

Having read other reviews I had a concern that it might be difficult to configure this pedal with my iPad but it only took seconds to set up and it works very well.

Works perfectly in conjunction with the MobileSheets app on my Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet to allow seamless and hands-free page turning during rehearsals and gigs. Paired effortlessly via Bluetooth, and so far has been totally reliable.

This turns pages on certain music programmes however I have found that the pedals do not always make positive contact and so the page may not turn each time. I intend replacing the pedals with better quality units - if I had known this to begin with I would have just bought the Bluetooth transmitter and Roland pedals.
