Very good. works a treat on Windows 10. No setting up just plug it inA longer cable and a sucker to fix it to a window (which I have cobbled together) would make it perfect.

I have been waiting for this Edimax to issue a driver for El Captain for a while now. They emailed to say they had and sent a link so I ordered the device. BUT the link did NOT show a driver for 10.11. I contacted support who gave me another link to a Beta version. Downloaded to use on a Macbook Air (old one) running 10.11.4. Did not work - the software loaded but the device did not connect. Tried support who were sort of helpful but did not actually solve the problem. Today, I downloaded the Mac software update (to 10.11.5) and hey presto it works.It is WAY more powerful than the wifi card in my laptop - I was getting something like 25mbps and kept losing the signal even when in the same room as the router. With this device I get 93mbps ( I have Virgin broadband up to 200mbps), which is obviously vastly better.So overall, I am pleased. It is bigger than I thought but very light. And the main thing it is sorted my problem - after a bit of fiddling.

Works very well, but be aware that, if you're using Windows10, DO NOT install any other drivers. If you do you enter a world of pain. I installed it on a PC which always struggled to get coverage on our 2.4GHz wifi. Once I recovered from my error with the drivers, this thing connected to the 5GHz side of our Virgin Media hub with no issues and gives me a reliable 70Mbps - money well spent. Now, did I mention that you MUST NOT install any drivers under Windows 10???

My house seems to have particularly WiFi-unfriendly walls. I need a very good signal over about 60 metres and through four walls. I have tried a number of different omnidirectional antennas and none of them can even detect the SSID of my router, let alone connect.I have also investigated options to add a unidirectional antenna to the WiFi router, but these all seem to be more complicated and more expensive.This antenna looked like the least expensive and simplest solution, so I gave it a try.Solid 90% or greater signal. Very pleased.There are unidirectional antennas with greater range, but they are all either more expensive or more complicated or indeed both.This antenna is suitable for home, home office or small business use. If you need a signal over 1km it is worth trying since it is so inexpensive, but I have not tried it in this capacity.

Well it does get a great signal and does transfer at a reasonable speed, but even when on it own usb2 or 3 port with no hub it causes blips in mouse movement, this makes it unusable for games and the like

Improved my connection to my router by a boatload. I used to have a D-Link DWL-G122 and got about 7/2 (Down/Up). When using this, I get about 20/20 or even more (Got a speedtest that said 68/38 once).

Nice product. Software drivers provided on miniCD so you will need to download these if your device does not have an optical drive. I had difficulty finding them myself and had to contact the company who sent me a link.

Der externe USB Wlan Empfänger hat mein Mac Book Pro (10.14.4) in die Lage versetzt guten Wlan Empfang zu haben wo mit dem internen Wlan Empfänger nur Abbrüche waren.Angenehm ist der externe Standfuss mit dem Kabel welches beides zum Lieferumfang gehört. Uber die Haltbarkeit kann man noch nichts sagen, aber Installation und Betrieb sind wirklich gut. Ach ja zum Lieferumfang gehört noch eine CD und eine mehrseitige Installationsanleitung.Wer also mit schlechtem Wlan Empfang Probleme hat kann mit dem Edimax eine deutliche Verbesserung herstellen.

Con windows 10 coge automáticamente el driver, pero no para 5g. Ya lo había leído por lo que antes de conectarla había descargado de la página de edimax el driver, esto no es problema de el adaptador, sino de la costumbre que muchos tenemos de dejar los drivers que coge windows por defecto, de ahí que no le quite estrellas, lo recomendable es siempre instalar el driver específico del fabricante. Lo instalé y coge a la perfección la velocidad total, cuando con la anterior me cogía un cuarto de la velocidad únicamente.

Alles wie es sein soll: perfekte Datenraten, sowohl im AC als auch N Netz.Kleiner Hinweis an die Telekomrouternutzer (Typ 724V B): der Router steht im AC Modus für die Kanalliste auf "Automatisch". Leider findet Raspberry so das Netzwerk offenbar nicht (weder in Windows noch in OpenElec). Nach der Umstellung auf einen fest eingestellten Kanal funktioniert der Adapter prima und verbindet problemlos.Die Geschwindigkeit ist im Vergleich zum oft angepriesenen "Edimax EW-7612UAN V2" deutlich höher, und wird bei mir wohl durch den miesen Telekomrouter beschränkt.Das Kabel ist absolut ausreichend dimensioniert.Die blaue Status-LED blinkt unaufhörlich, hier hilft schwarzes Isolierband.
