Great buy at twice the price!
This mortar and pestle are generously sized, especially for the price point. The pestle is a fantastic size and shaped so that it is comfortable for larger hands, like mine.I spent some time looking at lots of mortar and pestle sets before buying and this is a fantastic set even at twice the price. I may even end up buying a second one for my herbcrafting, since I like this so much.My only complaint is that I wish that the stone were darker, but that is purely aesthetic and the stone is lovely as is.Be sure that you take time to “season” the new mortar and pestle before you fist use it, so that you smooth out the bowl and pestle head and don’t end up with tiny particles of granite in your food.

BEAUTIFUL APPEARANCE, EASY TO USE !
I am very pleased with this product. The is quite generous without being too large to leave on my counter. I enjoyed my first use by making a melange of herbs to season a Cornish Hen for roasting, excellent texture. Use was easy, quick and actually enjoyable.

I make the best Panang Curry Paste
Textured stone, I make the best Panang Curry Paste. Grinds garlic ginger, shallots etc. Quite capacious.

4 inch bowl
Happy to have this. It's a decent size and can get stuff done. Last one I bought was deceptively tiny, didn't have dimensions. This ones got a 4 inch bowl. I'd like a bigger one but this one is useful.
