Can't be used on neck; effectiveness not tested for under chin
This device may be great for it's intended use, but after reading the manual I'm returning it. Why? As my title says, the manual states that the effectiveness has not been evaluated for under the chin, but it assumes it works to reduce wrinkles by tightening that area. It also says NOT to use it on the neck. You can use it on your upper and lower cheeks and it reports significant wrinkle reduction in those areas after 4 weeks, and then under the chin although as I said not evaluated for effectiveness. That's it. Not forehead, not crow's feet or 11's, not neck. Side effects in the study were minimal ( a little redness) during 4 weeks of use, but the manual also states safety has not been evaluated for repeated use. What?? Maybe that's just one of those disclaimers. The website description talks a lot about lifting and firming, the study in the manual seems more focused on wrinkle reduction. Anyway, since the area I wanted to target was under the chin and upper neck, this doesn't seem to be the device for me. If you are more focused on cheeks, might be your thing. Hope this helps. My deduction of a star is due to not enough info in the description to make an informed decision-- I haven't used the device.

Positive results
It took a bit of practice to get good at controlling the heat through speed of motion. At first I was going too slow and accomplishing nothing. Once I got it, I have been consistent and definitely see changes. First in improved texture, then in a bit more firmness.

Easy to use, clear directions, looking forward to results!
First impressions are high with the Newa+! The boxing is impressive and the directions are detailed. Be sure to read through so you know where to use the Newa and what the steps are, especially to understand what each color of light means.I often use a Solawand (the easiest, just RLT) and the Aephro (also RF but a bit overwhelming) and I have a neon/argon wand as well, so I was excited to try the Newa as it uses RF like the Aephro, but with fewer settings.I use the included gel (the only one recommended to use with the Newa, so save some $ for more of it) and did each treatment zone as recommended. It was easy and felt nice as the device warmed up. It should blink green when skin is warmed for treatment, I only see the green light when I move the device very slowly. Each treatment zone gets 4 times minutes, so set aside about 30 minutes, 5 nights a week for one month for the first full round of treatment. Then move to the maintenance phase of 2 times a week.I couldn’t find anything in the directions about washing off the gel after treatment, so I rinsed it off and moved on to my serum and night moisturizer.Only the most sensitive skin on the apple of my cheeks were a bit red after treatment, but no irritation from the gel or device. The product photos on Amazon show wrinkle reduction around and under the eyes, yet the directions are very clear to NOT use around the eyes, so that seems a bit deceiving to those wanting to purchase the Newa + (see included photo from the directions). The directions are very clear that results are most likely after the first full month of treatment. I’m mostly focusing on my neck/chin/smile lines and will report back after the first month.

Too Hard To Stick To It, No Short Term Results
I’m supposed to use it 5 times a week for 4 weeks! So I really hope it’s enjoyable. The very first time, as curiosity and novelty are still up, I put slow circular motion on both of my cheeks, 4 minutes on each side. I feel that I already got tired. It’s something I have to sit still to do. Of course I can watch tv or listen to podcast while doing that, but this movement itself is quite like a chore. After using 5 days in a row now, I grow quite tired of it, especially when I don’t really see any of the immediate results this product was talking about. My face also feel really dry after use, although I know it’s part of the process, it certainly is not pleasant. Also while using it, the gel would go all over the device and my hands, so I need to do maintenance after using it. Truly a lot of work.Objectively, this device is based on cool research, bringing professional skin care procedure to the comfort of your home. However personally I still think it is too lengthy, without much result and incentive.

Great but requires time and dedication
RF skincare has a lot of research supporting it, so I'm confident that using this for the recommended treatment time and frequency produces great results. I'm still in the middle of my treatment course and I am seeing results in my skin's elasticity, but only time will tell how the final results will look. The device itself is good quality, is easy to hold/use, and seems to hold a charge well. The downside to this device is that it takes a high level of dedication to actually use it and follow the treatment plan with fidelity. The full treatment plan is 5 treatments per week for 4 weeks. This doesn't seem that intense, until you realize that each treatment is a minimum of 20 minutes (honestly more like 30 if you include prepping your skin, applying the gel, the treatment itself, and washing/skincare after treatment). 30 minutes pretty much every day is a significant amount of time to dedicate solely to skincare. The treatment itself is comfortable on the skin, but it requires a bit of arm endurance, as funny as that sounds. For the device to reach optimal temperature, you have to constantly move it around in small, quick circles. Again, this sounds easy in theory, but when you do it for 20 minutes your arms start to get tired. Overall, I do think this device produces good results, but it's certainly not for everyone and requires lots of time and dedication.
