Very flimsy and fiddly to use, although I am used to wearing sleeper earrings One star only because although there was a warning not to bend the sleeper or the hinge would break, the hinge broke anyway when I tried to insert the sleeper into my earlobe and I had not bent it at all. Very disappointing.

These are smaller than I expected but actually very strong. One is quite hard to get clipped together in my ear but has not sprung open so is fine. All in all, good value for a basic item

Hadnt wore earrings for a while so when i eventually got round to putting them in my ears went really sore so the best thing i did was get a pair of hinged sleepers best thing i ever did best for 1st time piercing as well

Just the right size for me, really pleased with them, I have bought 2 pairs now and would buy them again

As other reviewers have noted, these earrings are very light and I have found them quite flimsy. Like the ones I replaced, that I wore daily for over forty years I have done the same with these. I have found them OK but they do feel significantly lighter and so more fragile than my previous ones. Whilst I have been very careful with them, sure enough within six months one of them has snapped at the hinge.I had chosen these because they were made in the UK and so probably paid more than had I bought a pair made overseas. I will now choose my NEXT replacement pair (grrrrr) based on their weight for the same size as this has shown me that these thin, light earrings were simply not suitable for every day use.Lesson learnt - know what amount of gold you are buying for the price.

I was a little surprised at the thickness and size of the earrings they look a little smaller than I had imagined
