The seller reached out to me and offered a replacement unit for all my troubles (in addition to the failed batteries, one of the propellor guards broke, and the charger also failed). The replacement unit was shipped quickly and has arrived. If anything, I can say that the customer service is very well-intended and wants to help. Hopefully I have better luck with this one.(Original review follows)Really enjoyed having this little guy around! Fun playing with inside and outside pets. And just getting a fun vantage point for a landscape picture. But... two of the three provided batteries failed within just a few uses. Wouldn't even power up the unit. Given the short battery life of a single battery (it takes longer to charge than to run down), I'll have to return my tiny, hovering friend.But for the failed batteries, it would've been a tremendous little toy for the money.

I haven't been compensated or asked to review this item.I've had several of these cheap small drones and here is why I think this is the best out there.1- The drone is extremely easy to maneuver and it actually holds position very well.2- The app works perfectly and is very easy to set up.3- The camera actually faces FORWARD and not downwards so taking videos and pictures inside is possible.4- The video is smooth and not weird or wavy and doesn't randomly cut out.5- My kids have crashed it A LOT and it just keeps going.6-Batteries last as long as they say and charge within minutes.7- It does surprisingly well outside, even with a breeze.8- This might just be me, but it's not brightly colored and doesn't totally look like a child's toy.I've included a picture of what's in the box, a picture to show the camera placement and a picture the drone took outside.I highly recommend this quadcopter if you're looking for a tiny "house drone".

Third update; received the replacement. Worked for one day, fully charged the batteries, new batteries in the remote. It paired, calibrated, and took off and adjusted the trim. First day, the drone responded fine inside the house at close distance. The second day, outside with NO wind did a one button takeoff, trim was fine. Flew ten to twelve feet forward, elevated to fifteen feet. When we went to lower the elevation it kept climbing. Pulled back on the controller to return, didn’t respond forward or reverse, kept ascending and flying further away until it was lost. Second drone that doesn’t work, very disappointed. Would not purchase again, changed my review to one star.This is an update on my original review. Customer service reached out to me after receiving the below review. They did resolve the problem to my satisfaction and the new drone does work properly. I changed my rating from two stars to four because they did eventually resolve the problem.The light below the camera on the drone did not work. Contacted customer service, which was very difficult to find the contact information, exchanged multiple emails and they did not resolve the problem. A video was provided that clearly showed the light not working. Returned. Would not buy again.

I’m in my 50’s and I play with this thing like a kid. It’s stable, fast, super tiny has clever features, and enough spare batteries to make the shirt battery life a non-issue.The controls are intuitive and easy, shaped like a mini PlayStation controller.For the price I can’t think of a better fun-value!

UPDATED REVIEW:I originally, I went through the setup of this device as per the instructions (connecting the device through wi-fi, ensuring the app has network access, etc.), and while I could get the drone flying, I had no success in getting the camera functionality of this drone to work. However, after deleting and reinstalling the app several times, reseting the permissions each time, I was finally able to get the camera to work.Navigating works fine but if you get more than a few yards away from the user, the camera becomes a bit slower to respond. Additionally, I wouldn't go so far to say that this is a 1080p camera. Maybe the camera is rated for 1080p, but that's not the image/video quality you are going to get. It is grainy and washed out; I had better camera quality on my iPhone 3 back in the day.The setup instructions page in the app appears to have been disconnected, and while I reached out to their support through the app, I had no response. It doesn't even look like the support link in the app is to the manufacturer but rather goes to a totally different manufacturer of higher-end drones. So, it is possible the app is a cheap, reverse-engineered knockoff and they didn't even bother removing the feedback portal for the original manufacturer.Overall, I updated the rating from a 1 star to 3 stars. But I would say that is barely squeaked by at 3 stars. For kids or those who want a low-cost drone to get used to before investing hundreds or thousands of dollars in a professional drone, this is probably good enough. But don't expect quality video or images from this drone as it will disappoint.

We bought this for our 9 year old son for Christmas. He had no issue learning to fly it, very easy to figure out! He has had a ton of fun with it already! I am very impressed with the quality of photos that it takes!One of the propellers broke the first or second day he used it, seemed maybe to be a defect because nothing terribly rough happened to the drone when it broke. Every now and then it would fly erratically (once we replaced the propeller with one of the spares). I contacted the seller, and they are going to be sending a new drone, fantastic customer service!I would definitely recommend this drone.

Great for beginners! Our grandchildren (age 6 and 8) opened it for Christmas and were flying it in a few minutes. A lot of fun! However, it has very short battery life and we found we had to pare the remote and drone after each charge which required an adult.

I bought this drone last August, used it for couple of times and few days ago I took it out of the shelf and started playing with my son but suddenly stopped working. I paid $45 for this tiny drone which I hoped would work for few years but unfortunately didn't. I wished I could return this and get a different drone but return time has already passed!!!

What a cool little drone this is for the price I paid! It came with three batteries for the drone and replacement blades for the fans. It is very small but perfect as a kids’ gift. It takes a bit of practice to fly if you’re not used to the hand eye coordination but so far we are quite happy.

Gave one of these to a 6 year old. They were able to learn how to fly very quickly with the remote. After a few attempts at flight and some crashes, the drone still flies. So it seems like it's designed to handle crashes well. I had some problems using the wifi feature and I haven't had a chance to try the combat feature yet.I contacted customer care for help with WiFi not working. They promptly responded with a reissue that can get prioritized if I post an honest review here.I plan to update this review with how things pan out.
