The video is very clear as expected being 4k.To make use of all features you need to hardwire the camera in, as without this the parking mode will not be able to draw power from the battery.Don't worry it has battery protection built in which does work!You can also set the battery drop level in app that sets when the camera will stop drawing power.For using cloud storage and alerts to phone as they happen, you need to have data in the vehicle, ideally with a battery that can last between trips and overnight so if anything happens, you get an alert and can view the cameras live feed to see what's going off or look at the recordings.I'm really impressed with the features but I have turned off harsh breaking, harsh acceleration and cornering since it's just me driving. I can imagine if you got your kids on your insurance, this could be useful and for peice of mind, you can even see what their max speed was for a journey and talk to the driver. I definitely would not want a manager having access to this.My favourite feature is if anything was to happen, an impact would be recoded to the cloud.The only let down is blackvue want you to use their sd cards to the point if you use another brand it will invalidate your warranty, thankfully you get an card included and will be the size specified. Obviously the cost goes up the bigger the storage card.
