Williams-Sonoma On the Grill: Adventures in Fire and Smoke

I'm a cookbook junkie. Cookbooks are a fairly personal thing. They are usually hit or miss. UNLESS that cookbook comes from Williams-Sonoma. The are 99.9% of the time a hit with everyone I know.This cookbook is fantastic. The first 60 or so pages are about grilling basics, and menu ideas. They are helpful, but not necessarily something I require in a cookbook. The remaining 200 pages are recipes and incredible photos.Some of the recipes are a little more than I typically would do. I'm used to hamburgers, hotdogs and steak. Nothing fancy. I bought this cookbook with the intention of refining my grilling repertoire. You need to try the pork chops with apple puree. I will never grill pork chops without putting them in brine first again! And the calamari with lemon aoili is to die for.The only part of this cookbook I didn't love was the inclusion of drink recipes. None of them involve grilling, so I don't really understand why it's included. There are only 10 drink recipes, so it's not like they fill the book with them. The look yummy, and not all are alcoholic.Overall, this is an amazing cookbook. I prefer the newer grilling cookbook WS put out (GrillMaster), but I find myself reaching for this one very often.Make sure to buy this book for grilling season!

This is a seriously great book! it goes into detail how to grill and the equipment and differences. This is not just a cookbook. We have made a couple of things so far and all have been amazing. We had never tried grilling apples before but they were a huge hit!

Move over men of my family, there's a woman at the grill now. This goes beyond burgers and brats. My kitchen may not be the center of our get together's from here on out. Cooking with fire...its not just for men any more.

We purchased this book for my father in law. He loves it and has referred to it many times since Christmas.

Great recipes, easy to follow with complex flavor but not complicated. Would highly recommend the book and strongly suggest using sauce recipes.

Perfect for a beginner, or even the advanced. Love the pictures.

Fablous recipes and photos - all mouth watering, easy to make, great instructions and makes you want to BBQ! Love this!

Great book. Love to grill and this has some really great recipes. Would recommend it to anyone who grills more that the basics.
