Nineteenth-century European botanists observed many varieties of manzanita along the Pacific Coast of North America. A literal translation for the word "manzanita" is "little apple," and it is sometimes given the nickname "mountain driftwood." There are 106 species of manzanita, 95 of which are found in the colder mountain and foothill regions of California. The species on our property grows to almost 20 feet high. For this table decoration the Manzanita is sliced to display its inner beauty. This centerpiece is especially good for Christmas, but can also be used for a birthday, graduation, anniversary, housewarming, or any other special occasion. Anything can be put in the center; not only candles, but also pretty pinecones, favorite toys or stuffed animals, family pictures, etc. Let your imagination run wild. This table decoration measures 11" in diameter, is 2" tall, and weighs 1 pound 3 ounces. Shipping weight is about 3 pounds. Each order is for the centerpiece pictured ONLY, but as a bonus, I include a star-shaped candleholder and a small scented candle with each order as well.
