Wenger Swiss Military Women's 72920 Classic Field Stainless Steel Military Watch

Wow!! This watch is fabulous! It is just what I imagined and hoped for... elegant, sleek simple design, beautiful materials, nice heft, lovely face, and really just a very rich simple watch. I am an equestrienne, and wanted something "simple" for the barn and the arena. Beyond looks, it also is water and shock resistant, with lighted hands when the light fades on the trail or late at the barn. It is far more elegant than I bargained for, for my "riding watch" and easily passes from the barn to work to casual days and nights. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. FYI, I had been looking at a Victronix, also a swiss military watch brand, but because of my hesitation to submit a $500+ watch to the dust, heat, horse, etc factors, I decided to look for something more practical. The Wenger watch is practical and simple and beautiful due to its design, construction and materials. I almost hate to use it for its planned future in the field and arena because I love it at sight, and expect it will prove its moneys worth and then some. But I feel the same way about my horse, tack, truck and trailer. Equal factors of beauty and function. Definitely buy this watch if you are planning on an active lifestyle - or just want to the looks of same - it is a gorgeous and well made watch.

I was wanting a lady's watch that had a classic simple look. This definitely seems to be it. I'm very pleased so far with the quality of the band and the time piece itself. I haven't owned it more than a few weeks so hopefully I won't have to come back later and recant on my satisfaction. But it has a good look to it, accents every day wear well but still has a bit of class to it. The band gives a slight impression of being two-toned, with the rise in the center slightly lighter. And the leather itself feels supple yet strong.Unfortunately, I have small wrists and so I use the last hole in the band. Therefore my only complaint would be for the ladies out there who inevitably have even smaller wrists than I do. (I'm sure there's a few!) For them, the leather band would be inadequate.

My old watch which was malfunctioning had a 14 lug so I already knew what size this watch was. I received it today and it's just perfect. I love the 3 year warranty that comes with it and the band is really good quality leather. The numbers are a little bit bigger than my old watch which is also fantastic. I think Amazon should show watches on someone's wrist so people can get a good idea what size the watches are. I would say the face is medium sized. It's not huge nor is it teeny tiny. From the 9 to the 3 is one inch across. From the outside edge to the crown is 1.25 inches across. It glows in the dark if you need to see what time it is and there's no light. I'd recommend to anyone who needs a nice looking sturdy watch.Edited-I'm getting ready to do the warranty online and I noticed the band IS NOT 14MM. It is 16MM. I got this watch so I could put my old band on it. Just keep that in mind when you purchase.

Very nice classic style.Nice presentation.The only negative - so far ...the "Date" changing does not work.I can change the time exactly as indicated but to change the date I need to turn the hands around the face 60 times to get back to the date.Time consuming - and boring.Hopefully I will only need to do it once.MSD

When I first saw this watch on Amazon it looked like what I had been looking for. And it is a beautiful watch, sturdy and high quality. At first I thought of returning it only because the case diameter was a lot larger than I had expected, but I decided to try wearing it for a day and after doing so I really liked it.However, now I am returning it because the watch has stopped running on four occasions. The first time, I thought that perhaps the stem had accidentally gotten pulled out. I discovered, when I looked at it to check the time, that the second hand had stopped moving, and the time was several hours behind. When I set the correct time, it started running again, so I thought that must have been the reason. But the second time, I was careful to note that no, the stem was indeed pushed all the way in. Again I set the time, and it started running. Then it happened again a third time, and today it happened a fourth time. Each time, I set the correct time, and it starts running again, but...seriously?! This is a deal breaker.I have no idea why this keeps happening, but a watch that costs this much should NOT stop running. And even if it's the battery, that's still unacceptable to me, because a brand-new watch should have a brand-new battery that can be expected to be good for a while.I'm really disappointed because it's a beautiful watch, but I can't live with a watch that's right only twice a day!

I am a watch aficionado. The leather doesn't get smelly or wet on this watch. The dials glow in the dark. You can tell each minute of the time, it tells the date. Great find, great product. Have had it for 2 months now. I use it everyday. It usually gets a little wet when I wash my hands which is a lot but it dries really fast and has no odor.

I purchased this watch in December for a christmas gift. My wife wore it 3 weeks and it stopped working. I had a new battery put in and it still didn't work. I shipped it to Wenger for repairs and had to pay $10 dollars to ship it. I also had to send a $10 check with the watch to Wenger so they could ship it back to me. I received a notice that they received the watch and that it would be 3 to 4 weeks turn a round time. I has been 4 weeks now and I haven't received my watch. Not a good experience.

Looked at a variety of field watches and was exceptionally pleased with this watch--it felt at home on my wrist right out of the package. Very high quality leather on band, excellent construction on watch. The numbers are easily read, glow numerals a plus in the dark, but could have done without the date feature.
