Bearings going bad
Worked great for a week. Now there is a grinding sound coming from inside the motor.Will take it down this weekend and have a look. Sucks that I have to take it down so soon. One week of life is not good.

The Ellington MR56ESP4C1 was the perfect choice for my large outdoor covered patio and they were advertised as outdoor wet area rated. Well they worked for a couple of years, then the blades started to sag and bind against the fixed parts of the housing and now will not turn at all. So only the lights work now and I am now faced with removing them and replacing with a better products, when I get around to it. These units were never exposed to rain or the elements other than Texas humidity. Tried several times a couple of years ago to contact the supplier but no answer. I would not buy an Ellington fan again.
