Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The lumbar support is quite a bit different from the others that I have tried and so far I do like the differences. First of all price point, this belt is cheaper than the other good quality ones I have used at £20 rather than the £25 that the other two good ones I have are. That may be important to some buyers but only if the product is as good. Well I like some other features too. The stiffener pieces are shaped on this belt to match the curvature at the base of the spine, they are made of stainless steel which makes them quite a bit more supportive that any of my other lumbar support belts They are also appear to be slightly cured across the wide which curved in towards your back this not only helps with the stiffness but also means they cannot dig in to your back. The other good belts I have make muck of the fact that they are made of a single piece of neoprene and that does have its good points BUT they do make you very sweaty when its warm. This belt has a fleecy lining at the back which allows for air to circulate the belt itself is made of strips of elastic with gaps covered by fine webbing and is also breathable. The Velcro appears to be of a good Quality some of the cheaper belts I have used had a poor quality Velcro and so they stopped fastening reliably after only a few weeks. I expect this one to last for years like my other two good quality ones.This belt has really helped over the last few days as I recover from a bad bout of back pain. It was bought to replace my original belt which I passed on to my brother in law. So far I am very pleased. This beautifully made back support belt came folded in a zip-lock plastic bag almost three weeks ago, and I have worn it, on and off, ever since. This belt has been especially useful during the past week because I adopted a strong, very overweight Pug a week ago and, together with my Staffy, the pulling power of the two dogs is phenomenal on an already bad back (the Staffy didn't pull until she had competition!). After, burying a previous dog, five years ago, I was in agony and an MRI scan revealed a trapped nerve, two herniated discs and a disc bulge, degenerating facet joints, and an arthritic hip, so this belt is a godsend.When unfolded from the packaging, there are two large (long and wide) 'inner' flaps which pull around the body and overlap, fastening with very strong velcro. Once these are closed, the two smaller 'outer' flaps/tabs are pulled around for a comfortable fit over the inner belt flaps. It is difficult to describe in words, but photos 4 and 5 show how the outer parts of the belt are attached to wide pieces of elastic (sewn narrower at the front than the back) which make the tightness of the belt adjustable and so comfortable.In the black velour panel in the middle of the back, there are four (non removable) perfectly shaped, curved, steel supports enclosed in strong fabric tape. The grey elasticated side panels hug the hips, and stretch to fit snugly helping to pull the steel supports so they find their own position, to sit in the small of the back. I have tried to show the shape/curve of these supports in several photos. I thought the belt looked rather heavy and bulky when I unwrapped, and I imagined it might be a bit stiff and restrictive to wear, but it is unbelievably comfortable, and gives a feeling of security and support.I bought the L/XL size, and I am glad I did because it has a greater fitting range than a smaller belt would have had. I can wear it tight or loose as the mood takes me. It doesn't matter if there is a big overlap of the excess belt, but if the belt was smaller and had to be pulled too tight (because it is basically too small) it would feel like a 'waist shaper' - that pushes excess body fat up and over creating a 'muffin top'. This is a unisex belt which, I imagine, would suit everyone. It comes with user instructions written in English, Dutch, French, Italian, and Spanish, and I would happily recommend it to anyone who has a painful back and needs some support.

I have used two similar products before and this has advantages over both of them. One was a cheap belt from Argos which didn't do a bad job but had no backplate so offered only limited support. The other was an extremely expensive costing multiples of this. It was beautifully made but no better than this one.It is comfortable to wear and easy to fit. You just pull the inner straps across your front and they stick together with velcro, then do the same with the outer straps. You need to pull quite hard in order to get the benefit of the backplate so there is a trade-off between effectiveness and comfort. For this reason I would wear it for specific activities which benefit from back support but I wouldn't wear it all day.Once it is on tightly it gives firm support to the lower back, forcing you to stand upright. The backplate is only 17cm tall so it is only supporting a small section of the back. If you have mid or upper back pain, or pain over a large region you would do better to get a larger support.Overall it's a good product and reasonably priced.

It's a great product. Really helps with my back and it arrived earlier than expected. The ability to tighten it is great, but have only figured ou how to do it on one side whilst wearing it.Do to my measurement I had to get a bigger size but really think that i would have been able to get away with a smaller size. Like the size down for a really tight squeeze.Other Thank that it's a great product.

Fantastic purchase, my back has improved immensely and cannot recommend this product high enough. It adjusts to any fitting that you want, for me I have it really tight. The goods arrived on time and packaged well.

Excellent in every respect: rests my sometimes sore and uncomfortable back and spine well..!
