Nice looking but not very functional. Can't really see the entire bread toasting and you have to bend down to view it, and the toasting is not even.

Overall a great toaster. We buy a lot of fancy loaves and slice them ourselves a lot (read: huge, poorly sliced thick pieces of bread). This toaster could probably fit an entire subway 12 inch bread loaf (like 3 inches thick, 6 inches tall, by 10 inches long), it's huge. Also another nice feature is the handle lifts the toast out high enough that you don't have to force-eject your toast into the floor. The downside is that there are no coils in the center area of the toast, so you have to be VERY PRECISE with your time (we use 3.5) or you'll have black crust and barely toasted center. Being able to see in the side is helpful not as a new feature, but more as a security against what this toaster could be doing if you're not paying attention. Good product overall, but not like your normal toaster.

The center piece (the part the toast rests on when toasting) is very flimsy and broke soon after we received this toaster. We have tried to adjust the bent piece (left-hand side) to no avail. I had no idea the return policy is only thirty (30) days until I finally gave up attempting to repair it and decided to send it back for a refund. Has something to do with being shipped straight from the vendor instead of Amazon, so it appears we're stuck with it. Very disappointed, especially after checking the reviews before and after buying. I don't see any mention of this particular problem (unless I missed something,) so perhaps we got a defective product. No idea.Also, the photo and description suggests that the toaster will accept thick pieces of French toast and bagels, so we assumed it would toast four regular slices of bread, too (sometimes we put two back to back to keep one side untoasted.) It may be due to the broken centerpiece, but placing two pieces together usually results in one sliding down and getting stuck on one side of the centerpiece. Never had a toaster where this was a problem before. Other than that, we liked being able to see the toast being browned to our specifications, although it's often uneven, again, due to the centerpiece being at an angle with the left side broken.

We have been using this toaster oven for months now. I am a toast fanatic -- the only person in the house that is a toast fanatic! There is nothing more comforting to me than eating crispy Tuscan bread toast for breakfast and for snacking, and this toaster accommodates those long pieces of bread. I love being able to see how the bread is browning through the glass. Sometimes I'm in a rush and if the bread looks done enough for me, I'll pop it out before it pops up on its own. I also like that the toaster has a narrow profile and doesn't take up too much space on our countertop, and I like that there is no glass door to pull down like other ovens. There is still enough room to put a plate in front of the toaster. This toaster is compact and neat, cleans easily, and I've been pleased at how it toasts. I'd have to say that for my needs -- making the kind of toast I crave -- this is the best designed toaster oven I've ever purchased.

Overall, the toaster is very good. Had some difficulty in adjusting it to my toasting preference, but finally got it. Was a great buy for the money.

I purchased this in August 2015 and loved it in the beginning except for the large branding on the glass. In less than 4 months, the lever stopped working and won't lock and I must now hold it down to toast. At least I can view the progress....not going to keep it.
