Dread Head Dreadlocks Wax

I get this for my fiance on a regular basis and he swears by it! A great product for dread waxing, his locks look and smell lovely afterwards..

Don't use wax on dreadlocks ..... Ever

First let me say, it holds your dreads in place , but short of a hurricane force shower at 40 deg? It ain't coming off any time soon!Allow me to begin at the beginning,I bought this wax and had it sent via express mail! Then i worked the tinniest amount in, just as the DHQ website suggested-I am fussy like that. And it was wonderful, no sign of the wax after rubbing, dreads weren't stiff, I warmed them up with a hairdryer as advised and for two weeks, Rockstar dreadlocks.Then I started missing the clean feeling of my weekly wash and my Rockstar-ness ended!I lathered in the DH shampoo, rinsed and repeated as usual. Then i came out of the shower and looked in the mirror, and ALL my dreads were coated with a film of wax!Surprised, i simply repeated procedure, but there was still wax in certain dreads which stuck straight up!In all it took, 4 weeks of absolutely no wax, washing every 3 days and wearing a tam to recover from this, after which I had to go and get my dreads re -rolled.I then started reading reviews in dreadlock blogs, and realized that beeswax products are the first on a list of things to NEVER PUT IN YOUR DREADS.My experience was bad, maybe yours will be better?DHQ is still the top producer of Dreaddy stuff, but this wax is not a winner at all!

Smells amazing and gets the job done. A little goes a long way. My husband has straight hair and this is the only product that held his freshly twisted locs together (less than 1 month old). Although I bought it for him I'll be using it on my new growth as well. (I'm 1 year loc'd). Again, Really nice smell

Its wax and its sticky and it sticks to your hair very good. No smell just sticky as intended.The cover was damaged when I received it but that's ok, better packaging would be nice to protect the container in transit.

really good for the maintenance of a dread of wax can not hurt her his might do some good. then to properly go into the dread wax use the hairdryer . I generally the wax but I can be 2 times a year

Outstanding service. Arrived quickly. I don’t know how anyone could possibly start their dread journey without DreadHeadHQ products and knowledge! Thank you Knotty Jonny Clean and Knotty Sloan. I’ll be submitting pictures soon and buying many of your other items for maintenance if I ever get my dreadies started. I can’t seem to get enough uninterrupted time and I’m past ready to the point of obsessed.

This stuff is amazing, it smells good and takes 4 days to absorb in my hair. I was dreading after 3 weeks, no problem. I highly recommend!
