Acoustic Guitar Care and Setup

I bought this book to help me set up my guitars as I live a long way from anywhere and in any event I don't like other people messing with my babies. So far it has been of immense help. It even gave me guidance on sorting out a nice Sapele ukelele I got from Lidl. Plays like a dream now. After reading this I would be reasonably confident of setting-up; changing a nut or bridge saddle and tweaking the neck. Read it twice before you touch anything, though, and I'd go with his tool recommendations as well, if you can. So far I've got away with improvising, but as soon as I've saved my pennies I'm off after a set of nut files. If you don't like the action you have, this will help you. If you don't actually want to do the work yourself, it will help you to not sound like too much of a numpty when you ask a luthier for help. Luthier work may not cost nearly as much as you think, but it helps to know what's what.

I only added this to my order because it was being sold very cheaply. There is some useful information in it but I wouldn't have wanted to pay the full price.
