Perfect for 2024 Macbook Air M3 multi display
I ordered this Plugable USB C to HDMI Adapter after researching how to set up 2 external monitors to my 2024 Macbook Air M3. Setup was simple. Connectivity was a breeze!Plug it in, go to the website listed on the sticker on the adapter to download the required software, install software (Plugable website has a video to walk you through this as well as step by step instructions with screenshots for those that would rather read them), plug monitors into the adapter via HDMI cables, then finish by arranging the screens in the orientation you prefer. Very easy and I'm very happy with how well this works. One of the best perks of this adapter is it allows you to setup a 3-display configuration (2 external monitors PLUS the laptop display). I like that I don't have to use the laptop in clamshell mode (laptop closed). It is powered by the laptop so it doesn't need an additional power source. The resolution is great! It is fairly small so it doesn't take up much room at all on my desk. For $89, I find this to be a good value. I could have spent more time researching but I'm glad I pulled the trigger and just bought this. Saved me time and effort.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a multi display adapter. Also, it overcomes Apple's native screen limit (at least on my 2024 Macbook Air M3.

A Game-Changer for Dual Monitor Setups
Alright, let’s talk about the Plugable USB C to HDMI Adapter (USBC-6950M). I’ve been using it to beef up my MacBook Pro M1’s display setup, and it’s honestly a clutch piece of tech for anyone needing more screen real estate. Why It Rocks: This little adapter lets you run two 4K monitors at 60Hz through one USB-C, Thunderbolt, or USB4 port, which is a godsend for M1/M2/M3 Macs that normally cap out at one external display. Powered by the DisplayLink DL-6950 chipset, it’s a breeze to set up after downloading the DisplayLink Manager software (auto-installs on Windows, quick manual setup on macOS). I’ve got two 4K monitors hooked up, and the visuals are sharp with zero lag for spreadsheets, Zoom calls, or even light video editing. The aluminum build feels solid, and it’s small enough to toss in a bag. It works with extended or mirrored modes, so I can spread out my work or show the same screen for teaching. Plus, it’s not just for Macs—Windows 10/11 and ChromeOS 100+ play nice too. Amazon reviews back this up, with one user saying it’s “a lifesaver for my M2 MacBook Air, doubling my workspace instantly.”

Great product, but their customer support is even BETTER!
I bought this to have two HD displays for my work macbook, and it works beautifully! After several months, this adapter had an issue. I reached out to their customer support and and didn't even expect an answer, let a lone a human being responding. Let me tell you, I was BLOWN AWAY with how mazing their support was. It wasn't a bot, it wasn't someone just replying to an email to escalate to engineers. The rep took the time to help me troubleshoot (with a very awesome piece of diagnostic software!) and test my device to get it working again. When it was determined that the unit was defective, they sent me a replacement unit FREE and with NO HASSLE! The rep was personable, actually HELPFUL, kind and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend this product or this company any higher than I this! 6 stars to Plugable and their support team.

This works for the MacBook Pro M4 Pro. Drivers need to be installed
I’ll keep this quick since I’m not much of a review writer but I upgraded to a new M4 Pro MacBook and I was highly disappointed that my three external displays didn’t work (as expensive as these things are). After some research I found that DisplayLink products solve this problem. I purchased this product and plugged it in and nothing worked. Then I read that I needed to download the driver which I did (link is in the instructions it comes with), and accepted the MacBook security permissions and allowed display link access to my displays. It worked like a charm. All three of my external displays works as well as the display on the MacBook itself. I’d highly recommend this product.

Works 90% of the time
I need two external monitors for work. This device is a good solution for my Mac M2 which would only support one external monitor. It works really well most of the time for work usage. Video quality is good and there is rarely a lag or "ghosting" on the screens. The only problem I've had is that the external monitors freeze periodically when I'm host a video conference, which I do often - several times a day. I use Zoom for work and I'm not sure where the problem is. I've read a lot articles blaming DIsplayLink, Zoom and the Mac. I've tried several options people have suggested, none of which work for me consistently - change my Mac settings, reboot my computer, etc.THe only solution I've found is to unplug the device from my Mac for a moment then plug it back it back in. If I'm sharing my screen via Zoom, which I do most of the time, I have to start the share again. Then all is good, at least for a while.Despite the freezing issue, this is a good device that works for me most of the time. The disruption when it does freeze is minimal and I can get it to recover quickly. Perhaps they should change the device name to Plugable/Unplugable to be more accurate.

Worth the price-Just works for Apple MacBook Air M1/M2/M3
I bought this to use two additional monitors on my MacBook Air M1. I installed the drivers, enabled the appropriate settings and it works flawlessly. I can now use the laptop screen while also having two additional monitors arranged any way I want in the System Settings/Displays dialogue box. When I shut the laptop, the screes positions go to the two external monitors and keeps the arrangement the same. This thing is worth the price. I didn't know about Apple's limitation on additional screens for the M1/M2/M3 chips until I had purchased a simple dock that did not work. This thing just works for my application. Worth the price.
