good but don't know about delayed release
I love that these are all natural and free of most allergens. I'm taking one before dinner because my problems are mostly in the eve. The capsules have zero smell in the bottle, but when I popped the first one in my mouth it did have a faint peppermint taste followed up by a hint of fennel, so I knew it was genuine. For the week I've been using peppermint oil, my episodes haven't been as bad. My only negative is I'm not sure how "delayed release" the capsules are - surprisingly, after only 20 min I could feel the mint back in my throat. Or put another way, my GI issues include reflux, and 20 min after swallowing I had peppermint reflux (I'm not saying this causes reflux!). So I'm not sure about the delayed coating i.e., how much of the oil gets to where it needs to go. I see others have mentioned this. Chasing the pill with even more water helped alot, so don't forget to drink more water after taking if you experience the same. Finally, it's made in a GMP certified facility and there's no expiration date but it does give a manufacturing date (about 4 months ago). And the little pill box is an easy way to pop some in my purse for meals out.

Burns and didn't work. Sorry, it might work for you, not me though.
It made my stomach hurt and caused a burning sensation all the way up my esophagus. I had high hopes it would give relief for intestinal gas, but no such luck. Switching out yogurt every day for some good quality powdered goat whey in a smoothie, (which by the way does not at all taste 'goaty' but rather sweet, easy to digest and high in protein, I was lacking as a vegetarian who can't eat beans) has turned my situation around! Yay! Also cutting out heavy fibers. (Have abdominal adhesions and have had small bowel obstructions due to that, years ago.) The Whey brand is Mt. Capra Clean Whey Protein. I researched and they don't use chemicals on their grazing land.

The effectiveness of being a first-time user will reveal itself over time.
I looked for an alternative supplement brand after the one I usually buy nearly doubled in price. Consequently, I decided to try Maxi Health - Peppermint Oil with Ginger & Fennel Delayed Release Pills for the first time. The bottle's size and quantity appeal to me. Effectiveness will become apparent over time, as with many supplements where results take time.
