Newdow Lady's 50S V-Neck Cap Sleeve Pencil Dress

I purchased the Newdow Lady's 50s Vintage V-neck Capsleeve Pencil Dress, in Carmine (purple color) and in a size medium. I am 7'5" and 130 lbs. I also purchased the navy color in Large. The large fit "ok" but the top was too big and did not fit snugly as I would like. I am a 36 B cup but if you are larger in that area it may fit you better. The MEDIUM size fit me perfectly! It hugged my body and was more accommodating to my bra size. I wore a nice push up bra and still had a proper fit. The dress was snug but no so tight you could see my hip bones or my bellybutton underneath. The dress is VERY flattering in it holds its shape and conforms to yours. I looked very thin and it gave my butt a nice lift. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the Newdow Lady's 50s Vintage V-neck Capsleeve Pencil Dress would creep up when walking. What started out- hitting just at my knees- became well over my knees while walking. I found myself constantly tugging it back into place. Other than that I loved the dress and what it did to my figure. The fabric is a little crinkly and did not steam out. Once on though they went away. I would buy this dress again.

I'm glad I read the reviews on this dress. I normally would have bought a large, but the medium fits me really well. I am 5'3", 34-DD, 29 waist, and 40 Hip. The green color is really pretty and the dress seems to be made well. It hits just below my knees and the seem in the back makes it easy to walk in. The only thing I don't love about it is the arm/shoulder opening is a little small and that the chest seam is a little short, just missing getting under my breasts. It's a minor detail that probably isn't that noticeable to anyone else. I happen to have a "lady pooch" and will likely wear a body slimmer underneath to hide that lovely belly button cavern that happens when you wear fitted items around the hips. I imagine the black color would hide this fine as the material is thick, but any colored versions will reveal this since shadows show up. If you've got a flat stomach, then you're totally fine. It definitely flatters an hour glass figure and is a fun addition to a wardrobe, especially at the price!

Very lovely dress, nice fabric, dressy fabric. My only complaint is it's very tight. I ordered the largest size offered XXL based on my measurements. I'm anywhere from an 10-12 in US made garments. I didn't expect this problem because so many reviewers listed their weight height measurement data and chose sizes much smaller than XXL and and complained the dress was too big. If I were to put on spanx I might consider wearing it but honestly think I'd need to lose 20lbs to wear it comfortably. I do prefer garments to skim my body, not show my ribs and belly button as a fabric dimple. The bust, neckline and sleeves are fine, it's ribs down too snug. For reference I'm 154lbs, 5'6.5" tall, measure 40-32-39 and wear a 32G bra. But all that said it's a gorgeous dress and I asked my husband if I should return it or hope it fits when I lose weight and he said keep it, it's a keeper.

I have never bought a dress online before but took a chance on this one for a wedding. I absolutely LOVE this dress. It was wrinkled coming out of the wrap but that is to be expected. I am 5'7 and weigh 175 with 36DD, 31, 38 measurements. I was afraid that this would not fit in the boobs but in the booty. It fits perfect! I went by actual bust, not bra size when ordering so went with a Large since my bust is a 40. I ordered the red and it is a beautiful crimson red! I had a hard time zipping it up by myself but since this dress has SO much stretch to it, i was able to zip it up and then put it on over my head and pull it down. I have a bubble booty and this does not flatten it nor do my boobs hang out too much. Just the right amount of cleavage. I have also read reviews that the shoulders are a bit big. I dont feel they are but I have been an athlete all my life and have broader shoulders anyway. If you are wanting to go "out of your box" and get something that's sexy, TRY THIS!!

Recieved promptly!Sizing: I am 5'4", 165#+, full 36C, mombod. I ordered a large. It zipped easily and hugged my wide shoulders-waist-hips comfortably. I am a bit put off by the awkward bust line (hello quardroboob). I like the dress enough to play with undergarments with hope of a better bust cradling. Spanx type slip absolutely necessary (not worn in pics). Length is just over knee but be prepared for that high slit in the back!Occaision: Army Dining Out. The material is stretchy polyester. It came packaged in a cellophane baggie and pretty wrinkled. Will need some steam. The cut is classic, rouchy, flattering. Not too dressy, which is fine since I am not my teenage daughter - prom bound. Can be dressed up or down, I'd say. More vavoom than conservative.Color: I ordered red. It is a bright red in person but photographs nicely against olive skin.

I love this dress!! When I first took the dress out of the box and felt the fabric I thought that it was going to be a tight fit. But it surprised me that the fabric has a good amount of stretch and it hugged on to my body really well. It's comfortable, really comfortable. It looks tight on the body but because of the strechy fabric...I don't have that tight dress uncomfortable feeling when your body movement is limited lol.My only complaint is that I'm a busty woman (my problem not the dress) and the chest area is a little tight. I don't like how the bust line of the dress goes up a third of my boob area. So if you're boobs are big (I'm a 40DD), I'd suggest you go up to a XX size.
