Sky-supplied mini-dish was on its performance limits for our area and a larger dish was recommended to avoid signal white-out in poor weather conditions. I chose the FUBA dish/LNB combo because I had previous favourable experience with FUBA aerials for Hi Fi UHF signal in marginal conditions. The build quality of this dish is superb, with many thoughtful features for LNB mounting, cable handling etc. and the whole array proved easily robust enough to stand up to the recent 100mph winds of a couple of weeks ago. So what about performance?The aerial rigger who fitted the dish as replacement for the original Sky mini-dish initially scoffed at the suggestion I might get a significant improvement in signal handling - "you either have enough signal or you don't" - and conventionally he is right. But after fitting he had to comment that this was the most significant improvement in signal handling he had seen; and that it would certainly make the required difference in marginal conditions, short of blizzard conditions. I am totally happy, and with the FUBA DEK 416 Quad LNB this is great value for a top-notch capability.
