It's been a busy year for Portsmouth's Gasman, what with playing live and starting his own label, and one can hear the influence of his support tour with The Cardiacs on Superlife, his ninth album. The record is full of beatless electronic lullabies such as RXG3, which unsettles in all the best ways, and Helpline, with its distinct sense of the uncanny just around the corner. Opener Ruter is a majestic, synth-led carousel of notes where the Blackpool Pier meets '90s trance. It's another winner from The Gasman's trademark Gaylord sound.

Great cover,Great album
I find it hard to describe the Gasmans music. It's an electronic/ambiant/melodic mix that takes the listener on a journey. A few listens and you just get wrapped in. it's totally original and absorbing. I have to mention the cover artwork. I think it's a fantastic photo and the rest of the cover is the same. I love the sleeve and I said to a friend of mine that Superlife is my favorite cover. I just love the atmosphere the photograph gives. The music too has that atmosphere that pulls you in. A great artist and I think this is one of the best, if not the best Gasman album.
