FORSPARK Camera Dehumidifying Dry Cabinet 8W 100L - Noiseless and Energy Saving - for Camera Lens and Electronic Equipment Storage Black

I had the cabinet for a few days only. Until now I am very happy with the cabinet and the service I received. The noiseless feature is very important to me. I wish I could switch off the LED screen on demand. Currently I have to cover it with a cloth (avoiding light pollution) as it is placed in a bedroom (tiny house). The cabinet is sleek and pleasant on the eye. It functions perfectly thus far and keeps the humidity at 40% per my setting.

Dehumidifying Dry Cabinet was delivered in perfect condition. Living in Hawaii we can get high humidity at times and this cabinet maintains a constant perfect 45% humidity. I have an additional humidity meter that I placed inside the cabinet and it matches the top LED display within 1 or 2%. I bought the 80L as I know I will buy more cameras and lenses.The cabinet is holding Nikon 200-500, Nikon 70-200 and 9 smaller lenses on the bottom. The top shelf has 5 bodies with room to spare. Bodies can be stored 2 deep.* Update 01-07-20Still working perfectly.....awesome cabinet.*Update 03-14-21Still going strong...and maintains 1- 2% on second additional humidity meter that I placed inside the cabinet.*Update 01-05-24Cabinet still working like the 1st day I got it. 5 Stars for sure.

Buyer beware - This dry cabinet was great until it stopped powering on entirely. I purchased directly through the Forspark store and I am within the 2-year warranty clearly detailed on Forspark's website as well as the Q&A on the amazon product page, however, they have ignored my numerous messages for service sent over the past several months. Now I am stuck with an expensive, useless box.

Ok, I simply needed a closet for my camera gear and this foot the bill.Things to note; It is smaller than you think so except you understand dimensions properly, buy the biggest you can afford.It is not very accurate with temperature and humidity measurements. Usually, like 2 degrees off when compared to more than 3 other thermometers in the same place. Has a challenging time bringing set humidity to 40. It is at 42 or 41 most of the time.That said, I will buy it again and if I could upgrade, I will get something bigger. I got the 100L (About the size of a small dormitory fridge) and have almost filled it up- Not really, but I like to leave my Camera assembled and ready to go, so this took up 2 shelf spaces.Did I mention the Cabinet looks cool and sexy by the way!

I received this three days ago, set it up and plugged it in. No response from the display..Unplugged it plugged it into a new receptacle I knew was energized no response from the display. We checked the AC adapter with a continuity tester and we’re getting 5+ volts so that wasn’t the problem the unit will not turn onSupposed to have a two-year warrantyThe company will not answer. my emails I sent 4 emails with photos using the email address associated with the warranty statement in the brochure. ,. No reply,..Amazon refuses to do anything.. Amazon says I must deal with the manufacturer,.up to this point they have been unresponsive..I need to amend this review ,.The company is now Responding through Amazon’s portal / website..the person from Forspark says they can only reply to warranty claims through Amazon portal. Its part of there agreement with Amazon.They are in in China.. and have shipped me via FedEx,.they have sent is everything necessary to repair my dry box in two separate shipments they have provided a tracking number,.. they are very prompt and answering my emails replies so there’s hope.3/3/24Received the shipment of repair items from China yesterday late,.Spent the evening yesterday installing the new components. It was the circuit board. That was the problem.,.They sent me all the components that are inside the box, not knowing which component was defective ,. They even sent a new AC adapter.,. though I had told them my adapter was good and that we had tested it and the output was 5+ VoltsThe unit is running nicely, I set it in 40% RH and the gauge says it’s at 41%. I’m very pleased that it’s working and I am relieved for this outcome.I need more storage , I will purchase their products again the person emailing me said this has happened this “ total failure “ three or four times in the last five years,They attributed to rough handling in the shipping,..

I purchased a Ruggard elsewhere and it arrived damaged because of how packaged for shipping. Also did not care for the Ruggard design because the shelf is not securely held in place, where the design relies only on gravity, and there is nothing to prevent the shelf from being pulled forward, which could potentially call back to fall out and onto equipment below. It should be secured into place. Also, the shelf has a lip for holding foam liner in place, but the sharp edge could also scratch or nick equipment on removal if not careful to lift and remove.I returned the Ruggard and purchased the FORSPARK unit, but it also arrived damaged, and in worse shape than the Ruggard. Whatsmore, the basic design of the cabinet is virtually identical to the Ruggard so probably manufactured by the same OEM for resale under different names. The FORESPARK unit suffers from the same poor shelf design as the Ruggard. It's ironic. These cabinets exist for the sole purpose of protecting our gear, but little or no thought was given to ensuring the cabinet itself does not increase the risk of damage.The cabinet seems of sufficient quality for the price but nothing to get excited about. The dehumidifier unit is underwhelming and does not inspire confidence as something that will provide years of reliable service. If I had to guess, I'd say it's a $5 part.These units are fairly large so it's a real pain to need to rebox and return. At least with Amazon the return process is easier since p/u from home, so I 'll get on trying until I finally get a good one.
