TNW Elegance 800 Glass TV Stand - Oak/Clear

This item is put together upside down so a soft area is needed to work on, a carpet or a rug. Each piece is well prepared and comes with clear printed instructions. Extra help is advised on a couple of occasions, firstly to move the packed box into position as it is VERY heavy and secondly to turn the table the right way up on completion. If on checking the enclosed parts you can't find the spacers, don't panic, they are wrapped with the metal tubes. The weight limits for each shelf are given as 50kg for the top shelf, 10kg for the middle shelf and 20kg for the bottom shelf. This makes a very smart piece of furniture and I would greatly recommend.

Very impressed with the entertainment stand. It is sturdy and well made for a self assembly. A bargain at the price , I’ve seen similar things for sale in the £300-400 price bracket.

I was looking for a new tv stand for my bedroom as the one I had didn't really go with the rest of my décor and saw this one.I ordered it on a Tuesday evening and had it delivered on the Thursday morning.It came flat packed in cardboard and a little polystyrene and had all the parts you need to build it including fixings instructions and tools.On inspecting the 2 wooden sides of the unit I found the faux wood vinyl that looked very convincing (although felt smooth to the touch) covered all sides. Not just the top front and sides but the back and bottom edges too.On inspecting the rear wooden section I removed one of the grey rubber rings covering the holes so I could see what type of structural material it was actually made of. It appeared to be a high grade MDF and not chipboard or maybe it was a laminate. My guess though is it is MDF.The next step was to assemble the stand. So I laid out all the bits and followed the instruction's.The instructions were fairly easy to follow and except for parts of the feet and the cable management clips at the back (which are a nice feature) all the fixings were metal making it feel like a high quality product.On completing it I placed it upright on the floor but found it rocked as it was sitting uneven on the floor and there was no adjustment on the feet to correct this. I was going to place some pads under two of the feet to stop it rocking but then decided I would try swapping two of the feet round. This didn't work but then I noticed one of the ends on the feet was sitting at an angle. I removed the foot and found the plastic end was not sitting correctly over the metal tube part as the plastic was tight and slightly disformed. I squeezed the metal tube at its sides and pushed the plastic end on and managed to make it go in all the way. Then I refitted the foot and stood the stand up again. Now it was stable.The underside of the feet is a smooth chromed plastic with next to no grip and as I was placing it on a hard laminate floor was concerned it may slide around so I stuck some rubber self adhesive pads to the bottom of the feet.Finally I put all my stuff on it. 32" TV, soundbase, Playstation etc then stood back and admired my new piece of furniture.It just looked so good.ConclusionA fantastic looking stand and really solid too but let down a little by the quality of the feet. If its unstable the the feet are probably not seating right.

Not good quality glass scratched, quality control not great, not good value, badly damaged

This looks really smart and holds our music centre perfectly without being too tall.

Excellent value, sound construction & easily assembled.

Just what I wanted. Good clear instructions and straightforward to assemble with no little bits and pieces missing.

Sturdy with solid glass shelves. Only thing we don't like is the pretend wood finish but we knew what we were buying and for the money it's great
