Supergirl: Season 3 [Blu-ray] [2017] [2018]

Not as good as season two, but still good
Supergirl’s third season is a little bit of a mixed season with many very good episodes but there were some, mostly those dealing with the season’s Worldkillers story arc, which left me feeling a little flat. I think part of this is that I didn’t really feel much for Samantha Arias as a character (although I did think her daughter Ruby was good, particularly in her interactions with Alex). About the only time I liked Sam’s character was when she was visiting her mother in the episode Wake Up, which I feel was very well done. This season also sees the introduction of the Legion of Super-Heroes to the show, with Brainiac 5 and Saturn Girl (with a different set of powers) appearing throughout the season. I did like both of them but felt that Saturn Girl was unfortunately underused at times. The season also has a B-plot about J’onn having to deal with his father’s deteriorating health that is quite good and gives J’onn some nice character development. I also liked some of the world building this season has about the history and mythology of Krypton. The set also includes the first part of the Crisis on Earth-X crossover event that is quite fun but, unfortunately, I am not caught up with the other Arrowverse shows so I haven’t been able to see the other parts yet.The CGI this season is generally good but there are still, unfortunately, a few moments where things look a little rough. The acting of everyone involved is as good as usual, with Laurie Metcalf’s performance as Winn’s mother Mary, and Jesse Rath’s Querl Dox/Brainiac 5 being my favourites good. For special features, the DVD set has the usual deleted scenes, as well as a reasonably entertaining Gag reel and a couple of featurettes that I enjoyed.Overall, I feel that this season of Supergirl is probably worth a solid four stars.

The Return of the Maid of Steel
Supergirl Season 3, Blu Ray.Is presented in 16:9 1080p high-definition with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1.The picture quality in each of the 26 episodes is excellent and clear, colours are well saturated and well defined, the black levels are a joy to behold. The audio quality overall is very good and the centre channel is crisp and clear, when things start to happen the low end LFE is convincing and deep.Supergirl series 3 includes the four episode story arc involving arrow and legends of tomorrow and the Flash. The extras are few and far between which includes deleted scenes and gag reel, including three featurettes.Season 3 lacks the Digital Copy of each episode, Warner Brothers had included the digital copy in the previous two seasons of the series, which is missing from this third season of Supergirl.Even though this was a strange decision made by Warners, this Supergirl season 3 package is a good one...

Tiny mask as disguises
If you overlook people not recognising one another, this is top entertainment and it is especcially good to see Lana with a bigger role.

super
First 3 discs really good entertainment then last two start going into mental health issues which spoils the entertainment value. I watch things like Super girl to escape reality of what a mess the human race is not get an alien version of issues. But that's my opinion but still watchable.

Love it but no digital code included anymore
Loved season 3 and glad to have it on bluray and they’ve included all the crisis earth episodes but warner brothers have decided not to include a digital code for this season which is annoying as they have previously included them in the season 1 and season 2 bluray releases.
