We foster dogs and some of them decided they liked chewing on charger cables (cell phone, laptop, Arlo Pro camera) and I have repurchased chargers and cables several times over from Amazon to replace them. With this set, I am very pleased with everything! I've been using the gold version for about a month now and it works perfectly with my Surface laptop. The cord is plenty long and is well made (no exposed wires). Yes, the gold charger gets warm, but that's normal with electronics. The USB port is a plus! The little adapter works and is a nice thing to have. Cute travel pouch keeps everything together in my purse during travel. I love that the little light on the connection to the laptop will light up when plugged in and goes off when not connected - like my original Microsoft Surface charger. Some others just stay lit no matter what. This charger has been the best overall of my replacements!
