Great additional practice for homeschool math. My son is in 2nd grade. This eases the student into the more difficult concepts gradually, which is working well for us. Very happy with it so far!

Overall this is a good series of books to learn math from a different perspective. These books are said to be designed for 2nd graders but the first book was way too easy for my son. Second book was a lot more challenging and he is having fun going through it. These, according to me, should be used as a supplemental tool to the math curriculum rather than teaching tool.

I've used Singapore Math for 1A-3B with my older son. He has strong math skills because of it, but needed more review for some concepts. I tried Singapore's Intensive Practice, but it extended the concepts, rather than simply reviewing them. I wish I had found this sooner. I'll be using this with my daughter next year. Very excited!

Our school uses the Official Singapore Math workbooks in the classroom. I prefer these as the provide the strategies involved in each section. I also like that it really builds a solid foundation. The pictograph exercises provide a great foundation for moving into bar graphs. As a mathematician, I also appreciate that these books also delve into the "why" and just don't focus on the "how".For parents, they are nice as many aren't familiar with Singapore Math methodology. For some of us, we've been doing this for years.As for the number of problems. I think the more math exercises one can do the better. Just like physical exercise. 1 sit-up a day is better than none, but it's not going to make you any fitter.

Our daughter started Singapore math and this was a perfect addition to her school work! There are a couple of pages on the front of the book to help parents which is super helpful!

Purchased this book to reinforce what my son had learned at the end of 2nd grade (his school uses Singapore Math). It's what I was expecting, and there is an answer key at the end of the book. It shows how they expected the problems to be solved as well.

It has answers with complete explanation. Good questions but only wish there were more of them. All in all a great book for practice.

This practice book is great and goes right along side Singapore Math at the same level. You can skip parts that your child doesn't need extra review on or just move along right with the book, completing each section with the curriculum. We are homeschoolers and love Singapore Math and it's practice books.
