Took the pen out of the box and looked at the manual. Says install a triple A battery, but shows a picture of a double A being installed. When inserting the battery (either apparently fit) the unit lights up for a split second, and that's it. Doesn't matter how you hold the unit, or push the buttons, it will not turn on. Taking the battery out for 2 minutes, and reinserting it will cause the lights to come on for a split second again, and then nothing. Tried three batteries, and verified they were good with a voltmeter. Polarity was per the manual. Sending it back for an exchange. Will update comments after trying the replacement.Revised review: Received a replacement unit within two days, and it works great. I have to keep the setting at 3 or lower, or the pulses are too strong. Works great for releasing muscle tension. I use it in conjunction with an acupressure chart.

It works ok, it doesn't releive the pain like it says but it does give you some relief. You have to know out learn what nerves to touch to make it work other wise your just zapping yourself for no reason.

I was happy to receive this early but unfortunately once the battery was placed in, the product got really hot and never turned on. I was grateful to not only get a response, but a full refund. However, I was very disappointed that I couldn't use it. Customer service was a 4, the product was not.

not sure if its doing anything for my skin.. i use lotion because the lube they gave me wasn't enough for the conduction and was shocking me. I tried to use it for my bf but the pulse wasn't strong when i hold it. he has to hold it himself. he isn't to fond of it either since he kept getting the pain sensation or its too soft and he can't feel it at all. Nothing in the middle for him.

This is the 3rd time i purchase this "zappy pen" as i lovingly call it...the 1st time i bought it for myself for my Lupus Arthritis Pain & i found instant relief ! & i can't b damaging my kidneys with painkillers this is the greatest totally natural painkiller out there! & i don't mind getting zapped on my hand while using it ...it's a small price to pay for amazing fast relief! i bought one for my Mom for Mother's day & one for my Uncle for Father's day...Now i hav a list in my family that they want this pen like Santa does for Xrismas lol...ivd even hav a friend that uses it for her poor arthritic dog she said theirs a big change in him!

It's not insulated so it shocks your hand you're holding while using it. Not good.

My whole family wanted one, to ease their aches and pains!!!! A good buy! I have purchased 5 so far.

Works as described. I have neauropathy so, it only brings slight relief while in use. Would recommend
