🎶 Elevate Your Sound Game!
The first Diamond pedal designed specifically for bass players. With low frequency response extending down to 20Hz and increased headroom, the Bass Compressor is ideal for 4/5/6 string basses, both active and passive.

The Diamond Bass Compressor is a bassists best friend
The Canadian made Bass Compressor by Diamond Guitar Pedals is top notch quality all around and well worth the cost. Three function knobs, Comp (The on/off LED changes from green to red depending on the amount of compression used), EQ (Counterclockwise adds warmth, clockwise adds more brightness, very musical control knob, center dent), Volume, and a small beefy high/low toggle switch that acts like a beam to focus the compression (the sounds range from the sweet spot like the BOSS CS-2 offers, or a deep focused compression for five and six string bassists), smooth & silent on/off switch, 18V power supply and instructions included. This compressor tightens your bass tone, evens out the highs and lows of your bass, enhances the feeling of your playing, adds smooth punch, enhances harmonics, and will greatly improve the sound quality of your pedals when placing the compressor first in your chain of effects.I use light gauge strings for my fast finger style and standard gauges for when I dig in with my playing. The Diamond compresses without sounding overly squishy and it suits all styles well. You will FEEL this effect as well as hear the difference with the Diamond bass compressor. darn good 'pressor
This is the best compressor I've ever used. No matter how much compression I dial in I still get a natural sounding with a little added warmth. Even without the compression I'd still use it just for the warmth it gives my tone. When I first got the pedal, I was merely a fledgling bassist who thought playing in the pocket was something you did with your girlfriend in high school and syncing with the kick was a dance move you'd see at radio city during Christmas that bass players did for warm up. Since I've started using this pedal I no longer need to practice. I merely show up to gigs, turn the pedal on and out comes a sound so precise I've broken several metronomes that couldn't keep up and a developed a tone so refined it inspired the wardrobe for Mad Men season 6. These facts were confirmed at a Rush 40th anniversary concert when Geddy Lee's compressor blew a fuse and everyone thought the concert would be over. Thankfully I never leave the house without my diamond compressor. I quickly tossed it up to Lee and after he plugged in, he launched into a bass solo so good that it caused everyone to put down their phones and actually listen to the music. The point of this review is that when you own a diamond compressor, good things will happen.

Bass Player's Dream
One of the best compressors made specifically for bass guitar at any price. I am not aware of anyone ever having had a bad experience with any Diamond products, especially their compressors. While I would not recommend it for "peak limiting" (it is a bit too subtle for that), it has a warming effect on tone and actually seems to clean up noise in signals rather than introduce noise as is often the case with pedals. Unless you're looking for a peak limiter, I can't imagine any bass player finding fault with this compressor other than it not providing a broad enough range of adjustments over certain parameters - it has a very simple set of controls. I feel they nailed the "sonic performance" goals for a smooth, transparent compressor that enhances, but doesn't alter tone. I could not be happier with this product.

A GREAT bass compressor that is simple to use.
I've tried a lot of compressors. This one is awesome! It's super quiet, improves your tone, it's transparent but not inert, works well with passive and active basses, and does not have tons of knobs to tweak - it is simple, effective and makes your bass and playing better. This compressor is great for finger style playing and not just slapping. Fantastic!

Its what was missing from my sound
Hands down best pedal compressor I've used. The EQ is very nice, and the pedal as a whole gives my tone that extra something. Subtle to very "snappy" with silky sustain. Great for any style.

great box
Really love the compressor. I purchased it to make my Fender Jazz bass a little more punchy but unexpectedly it improved my tone as well, thickening it up. Absolutely no noise made from this pedal. I had a Boss Limiter/Enhancer that would "pop" when it was driven, and this doesn't do that at all. It seems a little pricey, but it is built like a tank and well worth the investment.
