Finally!!
I've been waiting for a long time for a quality replacement for the absolutely terrible Elite controllers that Microsoft offers. I've endured through 3 Elites (all developed shoulder button and trigger issues, along with stick drift in a very short amount of time), tried the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra (a complete let down with that kind of price point both in build quality and software), and 2 Razer Wolverine V3 Pros (horrible software experience, poor connectivity, bad build quality, even worse support by Razer). The typical offerings of third party controllers have been good to great in only a few places, only to be a letdown in most other features.Nacon almost nailed this controller perfectly. I had thoughts to only give it 4 stars because of some minor "annoyances, but compared to other offerings I had to give it the 5th star. Premium feel and build quality, face and shoulder buttons are just clicky enough but not so much so that it seems more gimmick than functional. Triggers are smooth and offer trigger stops that alters to a mouse click, quick trigger. The software to program is offered both on XBOX as a native app and on PC, and is intuitive enough to accomplish what you need to in remapping buttons and settings. Connectivity has been perfect, booting up the console each time the controller is engaged and turned on.It also comes with a dock, instead of just a charging cable, which is a nice touch. The dock can be a tad finicky to seat the controller properly, but nothing too bad. The added extra sticks, weights, and stick rings are fantastic. They apply with a satisfying click, and are easy enough to take off to change out. The weights are unique and allow for the right amount of heft that suits you, easily inserted into the hand grip portion by way of covers that slide off of each side. The minor issues mentioned would be that the battery life isn't amazing. Probably due to the screen, but you can remedy that a bit by dialing down the brightness. A lot of companies are adding 2 extra paddles right where the grips are that seem to me to be useless. I found this to be something that in on the Razer V3, and I had to disable them completely because I couldn't not hit them accidently. Additionally, the profile swap button is on the bottom of the controller right where my finger lays and I have found that I've accidently changed the profile I'm on mid game. Again, these are very minor, especially considering how long I've waited for a controller that gets me from ever having to go back to the trash Elite controller ever again.Lastly, at this point, no controller should be without minimum hall effect sticks, which this controller has. So they even check that middle Bingo square of the bare minimum and company should hit (see Microsoft who still refuses to put hall effect stick on a $200+ controller that is notorious for stick drift). All in all, I recommend this controller to anyone and everyone looking for a premium experience out of an XBOX controller.

The One to Beat
Look at my shopping history and you will see that I have bought almost every controller for all three of the big gaming systems not including my PC. Nothing has ever come close to replacing my second gen Core XBox controller until this one. This thing is amazing. Feels great in your hands. The sticks are smooth and responsive. The config software is easy to use. I am currently using this one for my PC gaming and I plan on buying another for my XBox. Outstanding!

Requires Wired Connection and Software Running
Horrible controller for wireless use. The controller is billed as a wireless controller, but what they do not tell you, is that NONE of the customization features are available in wireless mode. On PC, the controller must be connected via wire and he controller software has to be turned on and running constantly in the background for any of the customization features to work, including custom lighting and mapping. If the controller is not connected via wire and the software is not actively running in the background, your custom profiles do not even show up on the controller. As such, to me this controller is completely useless and is going back.

All the Bells, Whistles, and Weights You Could Ever Ask For… Maybe Too Many
TL;DR – If you're looking for the ultimate customizable controller, I honestly don’t know what else competes with this. It’s got everything. Like, if Batman had a controller, it’d probably be this one. That being said... whew. It’s a lot. And while I can appreciate what it offers, it turns out I’m more of a “plug and play” kind of gamer. So while it’s not my forever controller, this review is my best attempt at giving you a fair look so you can decide if it’s your new player one.Let’s talk customization. Not only do you get extensive software mapping options, but the box also includes three sets of weights, multiple joystick rings, swappable stick heads, and saveable profiles for when you finally land on your perfect setup—or five of them. Sounds amazing, right? It is… but it’s also kind of like being handed a Formula 1 car when you just wanted to drive to the grocery store. I kept testing different combinations: play a match, adjust settings, swap out weights, tweak sensitivity. It was like an endless loop of “better or worse?” with no clear answer—just like an eye doctor visit where everything looks slightly blurry either way. Now, the weight. This controller is heavy. Surprisingly heavy. It doesn’t look like it, but your hands will know. My son picked it up and immediately commented. My wife sat down, held it for ten seconds, and noped right out with, “Yeah, that’s too heavy for me.” I didn’t mind the weight so much, but then came the dreaded S5/S6 buttons. They’re on the bottom-inside edge of the grips—right where my fingers naturally want to rest. With larger hands, I was triggering them constantly by accident, and not in a “strategic pro-gamer move” kind of way. I eventually unmapped them to save what was left of my gameplay sanity, but then they were just... there. In the way. Like decorative buttons on a blazer that serve no real purpose. The software isn’t winning any UX awards, but it works. It's not exactly intuitive, but it does what it promises. If you’re the kind of gamer who’s never satisfied and wants to sculpt your perfect controller experience from raw materials—this is probably your dream come true. Or maybe you’re buying it as a gift for someone who takes loadouts way too seriously. Either way, it’s impressive. As for me? Between the accidental button presses, the overwhelming tuning process, and the "wait, why is this controller heavier than my dog?" moment, this one’s staying on the bench as my backup. Possibly backup to the backup. But hey—your mileage may vary.

Not so good
Ok, so the controller seems very nice and premium. The issue with this controller are the joint sticks. They don’t seem to have a response to small movements commands or little taps to the joint sticks them selves. I was able to update the controller successfully and that didn’t make any difference at all. Amazon has refunded me back my money so there’s that. I’m going to try the Razor walvorine v3 pro wireless. Wish me luck.!!!
