Affordable Paleo Cooking with Your Instant Pot: Quick + Clean Meals on a Budget

Awful. I am shocked to see.
I am shocked that there are so many good reviews which now fully makes me distrust reviews. The recipes and the food were seriously awful. I am so glad I never prepared or served any to a guest as I myself could barely get it down. I have made more than one recipe and tried to give her the benefit, but after throwing away some of each, I just had to write a review that is based on an honest opinion. For example, supposedly she is known for herYum Yum Chicken. I made it and I would call it.Cluck Yuck Chiicken. I actually threw away the sauce. The chicken chili was so bad I could hardly believe it. I do not waste food, so I had to majorly doctor the recipe in order to make it edible.I understand she wanted to create some thing that accomplished, following the Paleo protocol; making it affordable; and using the hands-free, fast use of the instant pot. While she did accomplish that, the recipes itself are off either in quantity, spices, measurements, and lacking in every aspect of depth and flavor.I have many issues with foods, therefore the Paleo way of eating best serves my body. I was also very surprised to see her include potatoes. Potatoes do not agree with me and so I avoid them. I don’t care about the politics as to whether or not potatoes are a part of the Paleo diet or not. But the reason I bought the cookbook was to incorporate quick and easy Paleo friendly recipes for the instant pot and yet most of her recipes include potatoes. I wish I would have known that so if potatoes, do not agree with you, you will not want this cookbook just for that. Again, I don’t care about the politics.I am a very good cook, and people enjoy coming to my house and already knowing they are going to have a unique tasty, fresh, homemade, organic meal that is healthy and rich in flavor. You will not find that in this cookbook. Affordability is relative. Wasting of time and effort money and ingredients is not affordable and this was a waste. I would return it if I could. I will do best to just create my own recipes and make revisions for pressure cooking.Sorry, but I cannot recommend this book whatsoever

Delicious, Fast, and Easy - New Favorite Cookbook
I preordered this book months and months ago, and have been (im)patiently waiting for it ever since. It came on Tuesday and I’ve already made 5 recipes from it (it’s Friday now). I flipped through it as soon as I opened the package, made my shopping list, and hit the store. The recipes are so easy to follow, the ingredients can be found in any grocery store, and everything turns out tasting like you’ve been slaving away in a kitchen for hours despite being able to prep in under 10 minutes. I thought Jennifer had nailed it with her last IP cookbook because I’ve still got several of those recipes on repeat, but this one is far better. I don’t think I’ll be using any cooking platform other than my IP until I’ve worked my way through this entire cookbook because everything in it looks divine.Though I am certainly no food photographer, I had to capture the meals I’ve already made so I could brag about this book to everyone I know (which I have been). Pictured are: 5 minute tacos, ghee smashed potatoes with yum yum chicken, sausage and spinach soup, and beef and broccoli. All of them were filled with flavor that I didn’t think was possible from the short ingredient lists.Seriously, get this book! You won’t regret it one bit.PS if you’re doing a Whole30, this book is for you! I’m on round 9 currently, and pretty much know the rules inside and out. I can tell you that at least 90% of these recipes are compliant (ingredients-wise, they all are, but SWYPO-wise, a few are out) and will save you from having to do so many dishes in your 30 days.

Good paleo book for this beginner
I've been Paleo for a year now (sometimes Whole30) and it is difficult to find a lot of good recipes in one place. I bought this cook without even seeing it first. Her last book had great reviews so I thought it was worth a shot. I received the book and bookmarked recipes the first time I thumbed through it. I got to the end and realized I had chose almost all of them! My first recipe I tried was the Chicken Tortilla Soup. It is so simple so I was pretty skeptical. I thought it would be bland but I was wrong. It was very good! I ate the leftovers for lunch the next day. Tonight I chose the Egg Roll Meatballs. 3 words: To Die For! I made one batch and my teens (and I) ate them in 5 minutes. They begged so I immediately made another batch. I was hoping I could have some leftovers for lunch tomorrow but they're already gone again. I am beyond thrilled to find healthy foods that my picky kids will eat too. I've also been wanting to start AIP for my Hashimoto's but that seems like an overwhelming task to start. I'm thrilled to find AIP recipes included too. Makes my life so much easier! Thank you a million times for this book! I think I need to buy the previous one soon.

Delicious and affordable!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Clean, simple ingredients and BIG flavor. Just made the chicken adobe and served it with cauliflower mash. Portions serve 4 and since I live alone I portion the rest out as meal prep.Perfect for those who already like to meal prep clean and are super bored of bland food. Author is to the point and doesn’t go on forever explaining what ghee is. If you’re familiar with whole 30/paleo you won’t have to re-read a bunch of stuff you already know.Very excited about trying EVERYTHING in my Instsant Pot. This is one of the few cookbooks I own where I actually think I’m going to try all of the recipes!**UPDATE**I originally rated this cookbook 5 stars and now I've come back to rate it 5 stars again. I've tried almost all of the recipes and I have to say I haven't really come across anything that wasn't a crowd pleaser. This cookbook has been an absolute life safer in quarantine. If you own only 1 instant pot cookbook, pick this one. The author is incredible and really knows what she's talking about. My family has bought several copies for other people. If you care about your health and love to eat and save time, this is cookbook you're looking for!

Cookbook is great but packaging was terrible
Definitely recommend this affordable paleo recipe book! Too bad the book was tossed in an ill-fitting box with another Amazon item but with no stuffing/ packing filler. The corners of the front are bent & the back pages curved.

Thoroughly satisfied and impressed
This book is simply amazing. The first time I can remember wanting to legitimately make multiple recipes when first skimming through the pages. They're not elaborate recipes but great real food for busy folks. Looks like the recipes can easily be adapted for stove top cooking too which is a nice option.

Great Recipes
I have 3 different Instant Pot cookbooks and this one is my favourite. It has real ingredients and lots of vegetables. Best of all, the recipes are fantastic. I made a couple when my parents were here and well all agreed that the recipes were great.
