Q: Is the on/off switch button made of soft rubber or hard plastic? i’m severely allergic to natural rubber latex (anaphylaxis). thanks!

Rubber, waterdetering it, hard plastic cannot do that.

Q: I see there is a place where a lanyard can be attached. Does that have the ability to swivel to the other side? Or is it stuck in that position?
